The Strands Inn is a lovely place to stay, it's a traditional Cumbrian pub serving great beer and food and with a really friendly welcome. The room was comfortable and clean, and a drying room is a great help when it's damp out.

I’m pretty sure they would make you sandwiches in the pub if you asked them. There isn’t really anywhere else near unless you drive to Gosforth. The Strands is pretty remote, but that’s the beauty of it.
