Barbara is a lovely hostess. Excellent evening meal. Bath and shower in ensuite. Comfortable beds, good size rooms. Freshly cooked to order breakfast. Interesting small Victorian church across the road.

A jaw-dropping house with lots of period features. Not polished to within an inch of it's life but oozes character and history.Just a one night visit but we had a comfortable room with en-suite, which even had a bath. Great welcome from Barbara, who was so friendly and a goldmine of information about where to go, what to do and...

Barbara is a great host, went out of her way to accommodate us. Excellent for cyclists as she provided safe storage in the property, and a great area for cycling and walking. Exactly what you need from a B&B!

We stayed here for one night and were made to feel extremely welcome. We'd been walking in the Howgill Fells in rubbish weather so we were wet and muddy when we arrived but we made the effort to change before going inside so we didn't make a mess of the house. This was clearly appreciated. Barbara brought us a pot...
