My partner and I stayed at The Bay Horse as a romantic weekend overnight stay. The Bay Horse is a pub with rooms off the beaten track overlooking Morecambe Bay. The road leading up to the pub isnt anything special and a bit industrial but the view at the end is worth it! However The Bay Horse is very tired...

What a spectacular view of Morecombe Bay from the conservatory window while you eat dinner !! You can even see the train coming and going in the distance as it gets dark. Unfortunately the view is better than the meal. The steak, although cooked to perfection, was very tough. Even the venision was a little on the tough side. The...

Went here for Sunday lunch, excited by prospect of a deficated vegetarian menu. Had to ask for the veggie menu (why can't it just be put out with the other menu). Main course was listed as £16.50, which is quite pricey for a veggie choice but thought that it might be worth it. Unfortunately it wasn't. Overcooked aubergine, leek and...

Lovely view over Morecombe Bay; nice soaps and soft towels; room generally well equipped; comfy bed, terrace outside room with table & chairs. Lighting a bit dreary overall; breakfast OK but omelette and scrambled egg lacked any seasoning; freshly squeezed orange juice wasn't by day three! Didn't have evening meals at hotel.

We stayed here as we were going to Cartmel Races. The hotel is very welcoming and the staff can not do enough to help you. We had a meal in the restaurant one night and it was top class. The view from the hotel is amazing and the area is great for walking. Highly recommended! Thank you.

We walked the Ulverston Canal, the deepest, widest and straightest canal in the UK. It is one and a half miles long and the Bay Horse at Canal Foot is a great place to rest up after such exertion!! (Any excuse for a pint). Nice couple running the pub and the beer was good. Great views sat outside across the...

Came based on recommendations. Very disappointed. My husband put the olive oil dressing on his salad to discover a fly in it. Put the salad back. No apology at all. The medium rare steak came medium. On the upside, the liver pate starter was lovely and the venison nice but at £60 for 2 it was poor. The management was...
