We stayed for 2 nights on a Groupon deal and had 2 nights Bed and Breakfast and a dinner as part of the deal on the first night, we also took our dog for an extra £10 per night. The hotel is an old building which is mainly for weddings at the weekend so during the week when we went...

Thank you for taking the time to post on Tripadvisor. I am glad you, your wife and your dog enjoyed a quiet stay. I appreciate that the menu does not have a selection of vegetarian dishes, as you have stated the chef did offer two dishes. If the dishes were not suitable, then alternatives could have been offered. If you...

Lovely old lady of a building. Service was excellent from extremely friendly and helpful staff. The deal included one evening meal selected from a limited menu but it was excellent and I wish we'd eaten here both nights. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel is not for party animals though. There is a small bar but the nearest pubs are...

Thank you for your feedback, regarding the service and friendliness of the staff and the quality of our food, I will pass this on. As it was a deal, the menu is a reduced version of our main menu, if there was anything you would have liked that wasn't on the menu, the service staff would have been able to...

I am a regular traveller and stay in hotels all over the world. I honestly cannot remember a less professional hotel experience. There are some plus points. Nice location, nice building (though definitely 'tired'). I think the bad is down to poor management. My story : I checked in to room 1: no hot water. I ask about the problem...

Thank you for your feedback, I have been investigating this matter this morning. We had a malfunction from our bio-mass system which when reset signaled all working but unfortunately it was not. I was contacted but it took 45 minutes for the message to get to me as I live in a rural location with limited mobile reception. I did...

My daughter and I had afternoon tea here on St. George's Day (23rd April) Lovely sandwiches with a good variety of fillings; beef, ham, tuna egg and cress, savoury cheese, and turkey. There was two of each kind of sandwich appart from the turkey, of which there was only one. A lovely big scone apiece, served with butter; jam and...

Booking via Groupon which was for 2 nights and included evening meal for 1 night and proved to be excellent value for money. Hotel is ideally situated for North Lakes and is set in a quiet location. Room was spacious and bathroom was modern and great power shower. Staff were very friendly and dinner was delicious with huge portions. Highly...

Bought a voucher off Groupon for Afternoon tea for two. It was fantastic and great value for money. Food was lovely and plenty of it, ended up taking a lot of it home with us. Hotel and grounds where lovely and the lady on reception was very pleasant, cant say the same for the waitress that served us but never...

We visited for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff were helpful and pleasant. It's a beautiful old house and being brought up to date but retaining the important features. The room was spacious and the ensuite looked as if it had just had a new shower installed - the saniflo loo was as noisy as expected! They don't...

Thank you very much for your feedback, Yes, saniflo are not ideal but being a grade 2 listed building we have very limited choices in regards to plumping solutions at the front of the building. I will pass your comments on the the team and we hope to see you here again soon.

What a beautiful hotel with the most friendly staff. We visited with a groupon voucher. Our room, number 2, was gorgeous even if the en-suite a touch small, but contained every thing needed. Fortunately the weather was glorious so we got a drink from the bar and sat outside in the sun. After a nice relaxing few hours we went...

When I stayed in this lovely little hotel, I had no idea how pleasant my stay would be. My room was very nice and the hotel itself is cosy and welcoming. As a bonus the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and polite. Would definitely visit the Greenhill again.
