We booked into the Cheshire House B&B as a last resort, for the weekend 17th-19th May. Upon arrival we were very disappointed to find the room was extremely small - infact the double bed was not full sized and the bedside tables were small shelves attached to the wall, which were too small for the bedside lamps. The room had...

I was disappointed to receive this review. Whilst I welcome feedback from our guests, the statements made within this review are untrue and without foundation. In respect of the review’s contents: This booking was not as a ‘last resort’. Our records state that the booking was made on 3rd May, so it was by no means a last minute booking....

Great location only 2 minute walk from the village centre and room had a lovely view. Room was very clean and had everything we required. There are only two rooms and parking is resticted to the side of the property and we would have struggled to park if the other guest had a car( we have a van ) there is...

Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us. I am pleased that you enjoyed your visit, particularly the room, location and breakfast. In response to the comment about restricted car-parking, a parking space is offered with each room. There wasn't an issue with regard to space in accommodating this guests's requirements for parking their large commercial van....

We were warmly welcomed by Sue to her 'Cheshire House' before we had shut off the car's engine! Wow, Sue, what a truly delightful human being you are!!!!! As Sue led the way towards our room we were awed as soon as we stepped into the Hotel by the brightness, cleanliness and new feeling elegance of exactly the place we...

I was delighted to find Cheshire House for our recent visit to Castleton. It's right in the heart of the village - location couldn't be better. There's a pub right across the street, and even tho it was very crowded with a major football match on, we could barely tell it was there. No disturbance at all. The breakfast, featuring...

We enjoyed our stay in this very well run B and B in Castleton, so handy for bus, pub, footpaths and caverns. Our comfy room contained everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We would recommend this and hope to stay again.

“The brightness, cleanliness and new feeling elegance we found at Sue's front door was repeated everywhere in the Hotel, possibly especially our room!! The room in which we stayed, as well as a neighboring room we viewed, could not have been more fantastic. Cleanliness beyond anything we have experienced in the U.K.! Bright, light filled room with a nice window view of some of among the backdrop of the hills surrounding this picture postcard village. After this our first experience at Sue's house not only will we return whenever we are nearby, but we will likely go out of our way to stay there again!! After meeting this hotel's great host, Sue, we will have no doubt that all of the spaces in her house now and in any future visit will be as nice as the room we stayed in! Sue's house and rooms are now our standard of perfection in B and Bs!!! By the time Sue's gets you settled in your room, you will also think you have reached TRAVELER'S NIRVANA!”
