I've stayed here numerous times on business travel, normally one or two nights. When I'm in the area this is the only place I want to stay, the owner and staff are lovely, friendly and a great laugh. The scenery here's speaks for itself, nestled on the side of the Peak District, the views are amazing and would be a...

Just eaten here whilst staying in the Shepherd's Hut on the campsite next door. The fillet steak was exceptional. Make sure you get it cooked rare and your knife will fall through it. Very friendly service and very tasty guest beer. Definitely worth trying.

Windy harbour has an old fashioned feel although the restaurant is modern, the service is good and although there is a wait for the food it is because it is freshly cooked and well worth the wait. The only criticism I have is the range of food in the menu is limited.

My husband and I chose windy harbour farm, to have our wedding, followed by the wedding breakfast and then the evening reception. Lee and his staff worked hard and everything ran smoothly. The food was lovely, as was all the wine and prosecco. We had a lovely day, nothing was too much trouble. Lee even participated in a spot of...

Popped into Windy Harbour Farm hotel. We had a lovely lunch. I had the harbour burger and hubby had the pie of the day. Both dishes were £10 each and I think for the price the picture speaks for itself. Well done lee and the team the meal was absolutely fantastic and the view across the hills was equally wonderful....

I am surprised to read the uncomplimentary reviews on TripAdvisor. We called in, without booking, for lunch yesterday and had a delicious meal. Lee, the manager, mentioned that Windy Harbour has a new chef, so perhaps this was the reason? We haven't eaten here for some time and we would say the standard is as high, if not higher, as...

After a walk on the Longendale trail, 4 of us decided to stop here for a spot of sunday lunch. I am so glad we did. The staff and service were imoeccable and the food, Roast Beef Dinner, was absolutely spot on. Well recommended. .
