Every 6 months or so a small family gathering from around the country meets for lunch and conversation. For the first time we met at Windy Harbour. After pre-lunch drinks, we went into the dining room. The Pea and Mint soup arrived - absolutely delicious, almost a meal in itself. Then the various main courses. Once again excellent food, succulent...

We had a i night stay after attending a party in the function room. The evening itself was great and the food fantastic. The staff at the Windy Harbour are very attentive and friendly. We were shown to our room by Lee the Manager, which is rare as your are usually given your key and directed to your room. The...

Just stayed for three nights. Excellent small hotel, good location for both Manchester City Centre and the Peak District. Rooms nicely decorated, clean with new showers (well mine was!). Terrific full english breakfast, with proper fried bread that sets you up for the day. Evening food also good with large portions. Owners and staff all very friendly. Good value, especially...

We stayed at this B&B just for one night while exploring Glossop and the surrounding area. We got a very friendly welcome by Julie and Ozzy the dog. The place had plenty of character and the rooms were cosy, warm and comfortable. When we went downstairs for dinner in their restaurant we were warmly hosted by Lee all night, having...

We visited here for the first time for my brother's 80th birthday celebrations. Apart from the hosts, 5 other couples, all close family, stayed overnight. First, booking in, Lee the manager, was efficient and friendly. Nice double room, comfy bed, we were overlooking the car park, with the hills in the background, superb view. Large shower, tea/coffee making facilities in...

Wonderful welcome even though I was only staying one night. Lee, the Manager, was very welcoming and gave me some interesting ideas about the local area and roads to ride (I was on a "running-in" mission on new motorcycle). He couldn't do enough for me. Great room with fantastic view. The chef made up a late lunch sandwich at gone...

Never visited before but went with a friend for dinner. Excellent food, wonderful service, lovely welcome by staff and it was so lovely to sit in the lounge after eating and relaxing whilst catching up over a good cup of tea. Very likely to become a regular visiting place for me. Highly recommended.
