It was very full on Sunday lunch. The staff are friendly and efficient. I intended to have the carvery, which looked really good, but opted for the meat and tattie pie. The meat and tattie pie was one of the best I've ever had. Lovely shortcrust pastry and full of tender meat. I would recommend without hesitation

I love the Millstone for food and drink so we decided to stay over for a lovely evening away. I was very disappointed with the rooms. The cleaner should be ashamed. The things we found were: - Dust everywhere. - A TV that needed a wipe down. - Filth behind the toilet. - Mould in and around the shower cubicle....

Myself and 3 friends stayed the night recently as a birthday treat for one of us and we had a fabulous time. The rooms were lovely, we had a great nights sleep, and the food was delicious. The lady who checked us out was very friendly and we had a laugh with her, we will definitely return

My family visited the Millstone for Christmas Day lunch and it was wonderful! My dad is hard to please, bless him, and was apprehensive that our family's first ever Christmas Day lunch away from home wouldn't live up to his expectations. But it did, and then some. The atmosphere first of all was perfect. We were in the dining room...

Lunchtime visit on New Years Day with family. Great welcome from very friendly staff. Decided on carvery for adults and one granddaughter, fish fingers chips and beans for the other. Excellent carvery choices with beef, pork and turkey, together with a large variety of freshly cooked vegetables, and Yorkshire Puddings, all piping hot. Everyone agreed that the meal was a...

Thank you for your review and appreciate that in the latter part there were one or two points that you were not entirely happy with. As it is an old and large building and on occasion, when it is exceptionally cold, it can take a while for the heat to circulate despite all the radiators and the fire. The 'key...

I've just stayed two nights here with my son. We had a huge room with fabulous views. The overwhelming asset to this hotel is the staff. The decor is tired and the menu is just standard pub grub, albeit well cooked but... the lovely people they've got running the place will make it one to return to for us.

Thank you for your review. We have, fairly recently, become the new owners of the pub and have been making little changes and improvements along the way, trying to cause as little disruption as possible, particularly during the summer season but now we are at the end of the year, we have plans in place for re-decoration etc during January...

We had a lovely experience at the Millstone Country Inn. The staff were very friendly and welcoming This is a dog friendly establishment, and the family room which we had was a very good size for us especially as we had our golden retriever dog with us. It is well situated for exploring the area. The breakfasts were very good,...

We had a two night pre Christmas break here. The owner, Noreen and her staff are friendly and hardworking. Nothing is to much trouble for them We had two dinners and two breakfasts during our stay. We enjoyed well cooked, filling meals well cooked and with high quality ingredients not fancy sculptures on a plate and hungry again five minutes...
