Brae cottage is a gem of a B&B. The accommodation is excellent and the breakfasts are fantastic. Jane is a brilliant host, you are made to feel so comfortable, her attention to detail is 2nd to none. Add to this the fact that Winster is a super undiscovered Derbyshire village and opposite Brae cottage is The Bowling Green pub which...

Oh wow! A true piece of heaven here on earth. We spent two very short days at Brae Cottage but were so away from everything that it was such a relaxing break. It could be that there was no internet or phone coverage in the cottage that helped but more likely the warm and friendly reception by Jane. She greeted...

Stayed for two nights - only wish it had been longer. Comfortable room with area to relax in looking into the garden. Plenty of space and storage if you unpack your suitcase. It is separate from the house where breakfast is taken so you have access and use throughout your stay. Jane greeted us with a pot of tea and...

We stayed for two nights at Brae Cottage, a perfect example of the reason we prefer not to stay in hotels! A friendly welcome, a lovely, large en suite room, beautifully appointed and beautifully clean, with real attention to detail, super comfortable bed, and I think everything you could possibly need. And I mean everything! It is very well placed...

Took my brother-in-law and his partner to Brae Cottage this weekend as a special treat and they were blown away by the fantastic hospitality and amazing breakfast served by Jane. We absolutely love this warm, welcoming, home away from home with its comfortable accommodation, stunning gardens and quiet beauty. If you are looking for a small piece of paradise you...

My mother could only stay one night but she found the room was very comfortable and so homely and Jane was very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room had all that Mum needed even though, being an older guest, she can be quite fussy! She would love to visit again when she has time to stay a few...

Stayed here mid October. First time in the Peak District and selected Winster as a base due to various reviews. Brae Cottage was a delight. The accommodation was separate from the cottage which was nice. There are two rooms and we visited with another couple. We were lucky enough to get the bigger room which was great. To be honest...

Spent a couple of nights at Brae Cottage last week and from the very moment we opened the car door to the minute we left we felt so at home and welcomed. Jane & Graham are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble and the room was absolutely beautiful. Large, comfortable and exquisitely decorated with the most fantastic bed we...

Delightful stay at Brae Cottage in early June 2014. Greeted with a pot of tea and homemade cake from our host Jane. The room very good with a large area to relax in and a very comfy bed and en-suite shower room. The full English breakfast was one of the best we have had with plenty of choice and you...

Just returned from a great stay at Brae Cottage. Situated in a beautiful village, with 2 good pubs and plenty of attractions nearby. The room (larger one) is very spacious, with a very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Jane puts on one of the best breakfasts we've ever had, with plenty of choice and top quality ingredients. Hope to return...
