We really enjoyed our stay at Number 37 when we stayed for a night away in November. The B & B was easy to find and Chris, our host, was easy to communicate with leading up to our stay. The B & B was cosy and comfortable and had everything that we needed for the night. The tea & coffee...

Chris and Denise were very welcoming (as were their cats Harry and Charlie!) into their lovely home. We enjoyed a hearty home cooked meal and they were very informative about the local area. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a lovely night and morning at Number 37. The room was comfortable and the cake on arrival was delicious. Chris and Denise were really friendly and helpful, giving us restaurant recommendations and lending us a map. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and kept us going all day. Thank you!

Really lovely room. Chris and Denise were very friendly, with great tips about the local area and maps we were able to borrow. They were very understanding about our dog and nothing was too much trouble. A lovely stay.

We decided to stay (to break our journey from North to South England) at 5 pm. Chris took our booking over the phone and was most welcoming. We got the one remaining room which was downstairs: this meant that, although we had private use of toilet and sink next to our room, we had to go upstairs to share one...

Thank you for that review - most comprehensive! Re not being ensuite - Our house is in a conservation area and is grade II listed - the planners are not keen on us altering the house in any way as it dates from around 1780. We have therefore decided not to squeeze ensuites into the rooms.

Lovely warm welcome when we arrived, with lovely rooms and fantastic breakfast. Lots of top tips about the area and excellent recommendations for places to eat, walk and drink. Would highly recommend a stay at number 37.

Lovely reception and pretty bedroom if a little noisy. Delicious breakfast( veggie). would have rated it as five stars if it had had an en suite shower. Pretty garden and lots of local information provided. Wirksworth has a couple of nice restaurants and is handily placed for touring the Peak District.

We stayed for 2 nights in Sept. Chris and Denise, the patrons were very pleasant, easy going and helpful. Our bedroom downstairs was not ensuite, but with no other users we prefer NOT having an ensuite. Hopton Wood room where we stayed could probably benefit from denser curtains to cut out early morning light . Chris is a cycling enthusiast...

Thank you, Kevin, for that comprehensive review. You'll be pleased to hear that I did retrieve the remote control, though it did take a bit of problem solving to do so! We look forward to meeting you again when you next visit.
