    Just back from a one night stay at this gorgeous cottage overlooking Wirksworth. I've read some of the reviews on here and struggle with the moaning. Steep hill - yip, but that info is freely available. Shared bathroom - yip, but just choose somewhere else....More

    Excellent location, truly dog friendly, including dog sitting. Margaret fantastic hostess and fountain of local knowledge. Very welcoming, delicious breakfast and a treat of fresh scones with home made jams. We will definitely be going back again.

    Unfortunately the room did not meet my expectations it was very tired and the bed was against the wall so you had to crawl in and out. Also it was not the cleanest of places. If you don't mind rustic this might suit you. Also...More

    We stayed one night here after planning originally to stay three. Margaret is a very friendly lady but l think it is unfair to visitors, not to mention on the website, the difficult access by car or the VERY steep road up to the property...More

    Quaint comfortable with amazing views. Margaret is wonderful, warm and welcoming. Lovely breakfast and so many attractions nearby. Dog friendly which is a big bonus. This was my second visit and will definitely return.
