Detailed Reviews
We had a amazing time at this great hotel. It was spoilt when we went to pay the bill and found £3.50 x 2 on the bill! We were told this was for a " special coffee at breakfast" we were bed and breakfast and my wife ordered espresso as their coffee was not strong enough! We have stayed all over the world and have Never been charged for coffee at breakfast. It was the last thing we remembered about this lovely hotel!

Response from Martin D, Manager at Vine House Boutique Hotel

Dear Alangarden, Thank you so much for telling us of your amazing time at The Hoste. We are very proud of our iconic hotel which we feel has so much to offer, particularly during these quieter autumn months: from the cosy log-fired bar and the old oak panelled dining room to the stylish Burnham Market Brasserie. Vine House guests are offered complimentary cooked breakfast as part of their stay, so please note we are now reviewing the ‘coffee’ policy following your comments, we agree it must be disappointing to be charged a trifling amount when you have enjoyed your stay so much. I look forward to personally welcoming you back to The Hoste, so please book with us directly in future so we can update you with details of our special promotions and ensure you get the best available rates. Best wishes Martin De Sousa

If the location suits you, this is an excellent place to stay. The accommodation is excellent with comfortable rooms, walk in shower, separate bathroom, excellent towels, it's a very comfy bed. Then of course there is the Hoste, where you go for breakfast, with its good food and service. There is a hot tub at the Hoste, which is always worth a visit.

Dear David24052709, Thank you for your review. I am pleased to hear you thought Vine House hotel situated just a minute’s stroll across the village green from the main hotel was an excellent place to stay with comfortable rooms. It’s great to hear the food and service were good and you were able to make use of the hot tub at our onsite Beauty Spa. I look forward to welcoming you back to The Hoste, next time why not try the luxury 20 seat cinema? Best Wishes Martin DeSousa

This was no drop-in occasion as at this hotel you get to choose the kind of room you like. The room was lavish as was the bathroom - but now the surprise has been spoiled!
In short this is a treat for people happy to stay in Hiltons and Holiday Inns.
The restaurant was fine enough but less of a wow.

Annexed to The Hoste, rather than a 'Boutique Hotel'. Cramped, noisy and expensive. There were no bedside tables, just shelves to use if you craned your neck round far enough.
We could hear the people above flush the loo and the next door occupants filling their bath and chatting! The upstairs occupants returned at midnight and ran the shower twice. We did not expect that in a room costing £217 per night!

We were upgraded to room 57 which was in the Vine House (across the road from the main hotel), the room is BEAUTIFUL. Apart from the TV not working (which I wouldn't have known about if it wasn't for the Champions League final and the Anthony Joshua fight)
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant the first night, room service the second. Both excellent.
Breakfast on the outside courtyard as the weather was superb was also excellent, personally, I would have liked to see more fruit choices.
It was a very relaxing and luxurious stay, the staff are all attentive and professional.

Our one night stay was overall very good but with administrative downsides that could easily be changed with training if all staff. We booked The Vine House via Hotels. Con and had confirmed details as per The Vine House website(linked to The. Hoste). First of all on the day if arrival we found out we had been booked by the Hoste into a Hoste room in error. Next we had no staff recognition as The Vine House guests , we were in charged for the two glasses of champagne with our dinner and we had no Petite fours on arrival. We had all ponts addressed, but felt that this overnight stay was blighted.

We stayed in Vine House which is across the Burnham Market high street from the main hotel. You have to go across the road to Hoste to check in/out and for breakfast. Totally fine as the village is charming and the distance is short.
The rooms have been decorated with fine antiques and no expense spared linens. My only complaint would be that the four poster bed was so high, it was a struggle (and source of laughter for my partner) for me get on/off the bed. I’m in my 40s and 5’7” so this isn’t a usual problem for me. So I’d say that if you are shorter or not overly mobile, you would struggle. Just make sure you don’t get the room w the four poster bed. The room (I believe it was no 53), also had a separate shower room which was newly refurbished and gorgeous. The wc was separate in the opposite wall and the flush is incredibly powerful and LOUD! And ran for ages before turning off. You could hear the flush in the next room as well. Perhaps an adjustment of water presser would help.
Otherwise a lovely hotel and excellent breakfast. I totally recommend it.

We arrived at the Vine House in the beautiful village of Burnham Market. We were booked in by Emma who was very personable and helpful. My husband and I had our accomadation in the Vine house, part of the Hoste but a 3 min hop across the village Green, The room was beautiful with a bed so comfortable and beautifully attired. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely with a good wine selection, the whole evening was very relaxed and the staff so attentive so we went back the following evening. Breakfast was in the lovely in the Garden room with a good selection of fresh fruit , cereal and full English if desired: Alex C looked after us so well as did all the staff we encountered. We though we had a flat tyre and straight away one of the waiters from breakfast was on hand to help. The Hoste we found to be a good platform to visit Sandringham Holt, Holkem Beach and Holkem Hall we will defiantly be back, it was like visiting a little piece of old England safe and so pretty.

The Vone House hotel is a separate building to The Hoste Hotel.
They are across the street from each other.
The Hosre is the main hub, is where you check on/out and where you eat breakfast and dinner, though you can order room service and they will bring food across.
Check in took quite a while and could have been better.
If the room is ready before official check in time, dont be pedantic and make us wait, allow us to get into the room to relax and freshen up!
Dinner was wonderful, cannot be faulted. Compliments to the kitchen team.
Breakfast was very good, though we would prefer a buffet rather than food being delivered.
Hotels should be taking cash, this is a no cash hotel which is very disappointing.
In-room snacks were ridiculously overpriced!
Appreciate an in-room fridge, that’s great.
Crime of the week- non-existent wi-fi from our room in the Vine House.
As we left the room and exited the front door, and as we walked across to the Hoste building, the signal for stronger until it was fully up to speed when we got inside.
Not good.
There has to be a router installed at the Vine building or a booster, but staff need to regularly inspect the wi-fi signal strength.
Work was impossible to do with a weak to constantly dropping out to not working at all signal.
The in room TV had a Netflix button but as there was no wi-fi signal it wouldn’t connect! In today’s connected world that’s just not on.
A nice stay and we will stay again but needs an eye to detail to justify the somewhat high rates of stay.
Regarding parking, it’s frankly not great. Parking at The Vine House is about 4 cars max, more spaces at the Hoste but if you’re out of luck the parking along and around the road outside is horrendous. People park on the road itself which causes traffic delays. Even people parking across double yellow lines, and with what seems like 2 in every 3 cars a large SUV (seems like all the Range Rovers in East Anglia were in town during our stay!) it was chaotic during the day. It drops off a lot in the evening and is quiet overnight.

Beautiful room, awesome location, really expensive. Perhaps its not worth the extra money, though we did enjoy the stay. Check in slow and lacking customer service skills from staff. overall link to The Hoste lets the side down. I wouldn’t stay again because of it. Beautiful rooms can be found elsewhere.
