Detailed Reviews
This campsite is well located for visiting the nature reserves alongside the Wash and has a clean and tidy entrance way although the reception is not accessible to people with disabilities. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful but there are a number of issues with this site. The website stated that a new, improved toilet and shower block was under construction in 2019. What it failed to state is that the toilet blocks which are placed nearest to the tent and tourer fields consist of portakabins with no disabled access and in a very tired state. We visited during the Covid pandemic so half the facilities had been removed from use by having door handles removed or placing black plastic over the sinks. They did not appear to be restricting capacity on site so two showers and two toilets for more than a hundred people was inadequate. Although the signs stated that the blocks were checked regularly we only saw cleaning staff in the morning when people were trying to use the facilities and they were closed. Hand sanitiser and soap ran out and the toilets were often dirty and partly blocked by the evening. Paper towels were provided but the one container was at the end of the sinks so you had to walk past other users to reach them thus encroaching on social distancing. The industrial waste bins were located at the edge of the field but there was no indication as to whether waste for recycling could be placed in the bins. After 48 hours the bins were full and waste was left around the area. This area had a dog waste bin which was difficult to access due to refuse and waste cluttering the area. An abandoned caravan was pitched nearby which was unsightly and the fire points, electricity points and pitch markers needed cleaning and a lick of paint. The whole area looked unkempt. The children’s play area was littered with rubber from water balloons and there were blue plastic gloves littering the fields. We saw no litter picking taking place and the water taps and refuse bin handles were never sanitised to avoid infection. Finally, there is no conventional drive-over grey waste water drain on site. For those with motorhomes with no grey waste cassette this will prove difficult. A member of staff helped us to drive up to the site’s sewer inspection hatch and to fix a length of old plastic pipe to our outlet to allow drainage of the tank. Shame because this site could be so good.

I just have to say I am amazed at these people who go camping and expect to be molly coddled. When we are camping We take our own hand sanitiser, soap and towels ! You are camping for heavens sake not in a HOTEL. Get a life and use your common sense, If it is busy dont use it. You are putting your family at risk by expecting someone else to provide basics TAKE YOUR OWN. Having visited Diglea for many years I have never had a problem What you see is What you get. Basic. Their website does not promise anything other than a camping field with facilities. Think this it is a brill holiday place No expectations. just plain old fashioned camping. Leave the ipads at home and enjoy the surrounding area.

We are on our way home after spending 6 nights on pitch 90. Security had to tell someone to turn music down Monday night but could have done with him on Wednesday night as one tent of 4 people decided to sing, clap, shout until gone 12ish. So clear no security guard came around.
We were a 2 min walk from shower/toilet block, yes they are not the modern block but were always being cleaned by a cheerful lady. Showers were hot although I did have one morning were I had to check 3 of the showers before finding a hot one. Shower heads do need attention though in ladies as got a mind of there own.
No one wore masks in there so I gave up in end wearing one myself, just did not speak to anyone.lol
Club house was great Tuesday music by zola the DJ. Good music played, thankyou to regulars who made us feel welcome and we all danced night away. Drank far too much and wobbled back to tent.
Dogs are welcome on the terrace and has a shelter if raining.
Shop was OK bit pricey depending what you required, good to see most people wore masks in there.
Only grumble was the drive into where our tent was does need to be gravelled as after loads of rain it got very muddy and huge puddles. It was entertaining watching people after a few drinks fall in them
Glad we were allowed to pitch sideways as gave people more room to walk on drier grass.
Thankyou Diglea, we would certainly be back when in Norfolk again!

We booked (1 kid, 1 man child and 2 adults) a beach hut & stayed in beach hut number 1 (the blue one) for 3 nights. Pleasantly surprised. This was our first venture as glampists! We are definitely not fans of sharing a toilet or shower but there were 2 of each in little huts less than 20 yards from our hut and we saw staff cleaning and sanitising these a number of times per day. The cleanliness levels were very high with hand sanitiser etc being refilled and signs to use the hand sanitiser before and after entering this shower /toilet hut.
The room was fine for sleeping in-2 single futons and a double bed. We may have struggled if we were there for a longer period of time but for a few days it was fine.
The complimentary milk, tea/biscuits/shower gel was much appreciated. The kettle needed a lot of descaling so I couldn't use it - it may need replacing- but this is really only me being picky. It's a lovely park. Well situated for getting in and around the area. Felt safe and secure. We had some very noisy neighbours but the staff once informed about this dealt with it appropriately. We would recommend and would stay again (would bring my own kettle next time :) )

We love coming to Diglea. Lovely location and everything we love about going camping=this site. We have been coming since 2010.
However I have to comment on our recent stay. Despite it saying the toilets were checked (I checked the logs) the hand sanitizer outside the ladies ran out on Friday night and didn’t get replaced until Sunday. The soap in the ladies ran out Saturday and didn’t get replaced for a day. The reception hand sanitizer was out when we arrived on the Friday and was still out when we left on the Sunday.
I actually believe during these times people should take responsibility for their own hand washing cleanliness which is why we had a hand washing station on our pitch for extra care. However it concerns me that not everyone thinks like this or done this so these very small things in the current climate makes a big difference.
We hope that Diglea can improve it’s checks so that we feel comfortable to return again soon.

Have just spent a few days camping at Diglea and considering we are all supposed to be on top of our hand washing hygiene it was very poor. During our stay : unfilled hand sanitizer outside playpark, 1 outside ladies and men’s toilet another outside reception. Also run out of hand soap and paper towels in ladies and overflowing rubbish bin. In my opinion if staff cannot keep on top of it they should have made the decision to stay closed . I did inform reception before leaving.

Great site, spacious pitches, toilets and showers were spotlessly clean, new bathing huts were brilliant especially for showering the children as very spacious and the shower heads were massive great for cooling off in the hot weather.
Only complaint about our whole stay was that the beavers bar was very atmospheric, not welcoming and was disappointed to see that there was an argument in the family room and it was completed ignored by the manager, who came across as rude and very unfriendly. For a family campsite we did feel very unwelcome and this spoilt our evening.
But overall would highly recommend this campsite for family’s with children. Beach is only a ten minute walk away and there is a burger van and ice cream van on site too 😊

Position wise, this site is great for Snettisham Beach - 6 mins in the car or a 20 minute walk - and the pitches are mostly flat. Beyond that I'm afraid we were deeply disappointed, to the degree that we cut our holiday short.
We were initially sent to the wrong pitch, and when we returned to reception to query it, I was told rather rudely that I was wrong, until I provided my booking email.
There was music blasting across the field we were in until 11pm the first night, and loud conversations until almost 2.30am the second night we were there. The pitches are incredibly close together, so finding quiet at night is almost impossible. There were also arrivals late at night.
Toilets and showers were generally clean. Small on site shop sells essentials.
If you're looking for a nice quiet site to take young children, give this one a miss.

+1
We booked this place whilst driving and was kindly great the site by friendly and helpful staff, nice clean tidy site, can’t comment on toilets and showers as they were closed due to Covid but we would of been using our own facilities in our mot anyway, small shop onsite little takeaway cabin, kids play area and near a great place called shepherds port where we sat outside for a pint and had some of the nest takeaway food ever. About a mile from the closest beach but a bit further down the road is another lovely beach with cafe, ice cream and beach toys on sale. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend you give it a try.
