Amazing and relaxing lunch today. Children and dogs very welcome. Fantastic fire! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great wine list. Deserts necessary! Ideal location after a great beach walk. We will be back soon.

My aunt chose the Ship for a small family Sunday lunch to celebrate her 90th. An excellent choice! We sat in the nicely decorated restaurant (although there are a few tables in the bar) and three of the five of us chose Roast beef and oh did we do right! Beautiful, thinly sliced, flavoursome beef that positively melted in the...

Booked this place as a anniversary getaway. Place is terrific all floorboards and full of charm. However, on arrival, the barman was very much a matter of fact and unhelpful, this coupled with the expensive cost of meals in the restaurant only affords 3 stars. Compared to other pubs along the coast road the food in the Ship is quite...

I'm sorry your experience was a poor one Phil. My staff and I strive at all times to ensure visitors to The Ship enjoy the very best food and service and when that isn't the case it disappoints and saddens me greatly. There is no excuse for surly service at any time and I shall be looking into this matter....

Lovely cosy restaurant with light fire. Very dog friendly. Popped in on off chance and certainly wasn't disappointed. Food was of a high standard and not overly priced. All freshly made. Staff very friendly . Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Would highly recommend

We had a day out in North Norfolk, which is one of our favourite places, and fancied a drink before making our way home so stopped at The ship , big mistake ! Barman very un-friendly and could hardly be bothered to serve us. I asked for a mulled wine which was clearly advertised and was told very bluntly "no...

I'm so sorry to hear about your negative experience at The Ship Lynne. There is never any excuse for tardy or unfriendly service and it angers me when I read reviews like this. I will look into the matter and see if I can find out the identity of the person concerned. Rest assured they will be reminded that unless...

This pub serves great ales and is quite pricey for the area, charging London prices. If you manage to get a seat, it is a great place to socialise. The food is expensive, especially the burgers at £16.95 but very tasty. Good place to stop for a drink after a long walks on the beach. Staff are very good and...

We have eaten numerous times and have enjoyed lovely meals but was very disappointed with the food and service of the barman in Boxing Day. Soup was watery and pretty tasteless, we ordered a gluten free sandwich toasted but the bread was rock hard and had no toasted colour to it, we had to send it back. The other sandwich...

I am very sorry to hear that you were left feeling so disappointed by your last visit to The Ship. It always frustrates and infuriates me on the rare occasions when I hear our food hasn't been prepared to the very high standard I expect, and equally so if I hear that one of my staff has not been as...

Really enjoyed the room and the ambience, the staff were helpful and friendly the room well appointed (although no mirror for drying hair at). We were made to feel very welcome in this old establishment that has been refurbished to a good standard. The food was oh so disappointing - tiny burger for £17 and sea bass served cold. Scrambled...

Thanks for taking the trouble to give me your feedback. I'm glad the staff, your room and the ambience met with your approval but likewise I'm truly sorry the food didn't. Coming in from the cold after a long journey to get there, we didn't just get a warm welcome from the fire burning away as you walk in, it was also from the staff. After a quick drink and lunch, which was delicious, we were shown to our room which was spotless and well laid out. After a rest and...
