Stayed one night for work purposes the welcome was okay and the room spacious and well equipped in a fair standard. Plenty of hot water, friendly staff and good quality pub food available with free wifi. Very close to the train line!

stayed for one night here. Rooms were of a good standard with everything you could need. The landlord and lady were lovely and so helpful checking we had everything we needed due to having a young baby. The food was well cooked and excellent provision for gluten free diets.

I had fish - always difficult to cook well - that was hot, fresh and delicious. I believe a new young chef...

This place was an utter disappointment, the place was dirty and unloved. Rooms was cold and dirty. The landlord and landlady was rude and seemed only to be interested in money, they couldn't care less about their customers. If they don't care about customers and service I'd say go somewhere else.

We had not been to the Jester for some time,as our previous visit was not good. As the Jester had changed hands since then we thought we would give it another chance.Unfortunately our meal was disappointing.
