Just had three nights at this beautiful B&B. I would definitely recommend!!

Accommodation: traditional, beautiful and set within a working farm. The house itself has a beautiful garden to the front with pond and barbecue. Our room was spotless and our host Trisha made sure all supplies of towels, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and chocolates were regularly topped up. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the lounge was not accessible but this was completely understandable and indeed shows that Trisha and John were making sure they and we complied as we should.

Food: breakfast was served by Trisha every morning (8-9am) in the dining room. There was a lovely selection and choice. All very fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. The eggs, freshly laid on the farm, were especially delicious!

Hosts: John and Trisha were lovely and very friendly hosts. We enjoyed many an interesting chat with them at the end of breakfast and when out and about on the farm. Farming requires enormous commitment, knowledge and skill and it was great learning about life on the farm. They have a great heart too for animals and have provided a forever home for a number of lovely horses and ponies.

The area: absolutely beautiful. Lots of lovely towns and villages and Trisha will keep you right with regards to places to eat out. The farm itself has its very own fishing lake!! My husband enjoyed 4 hours down at the lake and thoroughly enjoyed it.

In summary, if you’re looking for somewhere friendly, beautiful and peaceful to unwind and relax then this is perfect.

5 of us stayed here for one night during a weekend of walking part of the Cleveland Way National Trail, from Osmotherley to Helmsley. The attention to detail at this B&B was extremely thoughtful and we were made to feel very welcome by John and Trish.
We arrived around 6:30pm and John was there to great us. He showed us to our rooms and was kind enough to call a local pub to arrange a table for our evening meal, this was a small touch but very welcomed by us as we were all extremely tired from a day of walking in unpredictable weather. Each room has an en-suite shower room and the towels provided were lovely and soft. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the rooms and the little treats provided were a great touch (the lemon biscuits were delicious).
The farm has a wonderful history and Trish was kind enough to take the time to chat to us about it in-between preparing breakfast, which was delicious and a good source of energy for our day ahead. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be recommending to friends and family, would definitely stay here again.
Thank you once more to John and Trish for your hospitality, you are wonderful hosts.

What a little gem tucked away! We spent a couple of nights there for our niece’s wedding nearby. As you approach down the track you can see that this is a working farm and wonder “did I do the right thing?” Then you swing round the corner of the last barn and there it is - delightful. We had the first room at the front with great views across the “front” garden and thence across the fields. Bed very comfortable. John was very welcoming and told us about his problems with a fox getting into the pheasant compound. Hope it’s solved now John! Trish rustled up great breakfasts from yogurts and fruit to the full English. We had time for a wander so said hello to the dogs and horses then walked down to the trout lake for some fresh air. There’s a great restaurant 5 minutes away for dinner. All in all - well recommended if you fancy something a little different, peaceful and great value.

My wife and I have just had a last minute one night stay at Low Osgoodby Grange bed and breakfast and can’t praise it enough. Trisha warmly welcomed us on our arrival and showed us to our spacious, well furnished and clean room. The room had lovely views across the fields. Both Trisha and John were very friendly and informative about the farm and it’s history, we even had a guided tour of the lambing barn to see newborn lambs that were only a few hours old. Trisha recommended a local pub to eat and booked us into ‘The Greyhound’ in nearby Bagby (5 mins drive away) and again we were not disappointed, we can highly recommend this place to eat. We were also informed of all local amenities and places of interest. After a quiet, comfy and cosy night we were treated to a hearty and tasty breakfast that was obviously made of good quality ingredients which set us up for the day. A superb bonus for me was the fly fishing lake that was also owned by the farm, so I managed to grab 3.5 hours (and catch a nice rainbow) before we set off home again. A very enjoyable quick stay in a beautiful location with genuinely friendly and lovely people, we will definitely return here for a longer stay next time.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful countryside setting. Really confortable double room for my wife and I, while other family members stayed in the remaining 2 rooms and had an equally great stay. It had everything we needed. The outside sitting area in the garden was very nice also.
Trish and John were brilliant hosts and the breakfast was very good and set us up for the day. There were several cooked options including veggie. Lovely to sit around the the big farmhouse table together. Our nephews enjoyed seeing some of the animals around the farm as well.
We stayed here as we had an event at the neighbouring wedding venue but it’s a ideal location for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales national parks and nearby market towns of Thirsk , Helmsley as well as being approx 30 mins north of York and less than an hour to the coast.

We loved our short one night stay at this charming B&B in the peace of the Yorkshire countryside. Good stop off point to break up our drive back down South from Edinburgh as the property is located not too far from the A1. Bedroom was very comfortable and clean overlooking the delightful gardens. We slept very well as so quiet. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection and we particularly enjoyed the traditional full English breakfast.

Stayed here for my Sons Wedding for 2 nights.
We had a warm welcome and we were shown to our room.
Lovely room with very comfy bed and lovely view of the garden.
Breakfast was lovely with a gorgeous fresh fruit salad to start then a lovely full English with good sausage 😋 would have liked Blackpudding but otherwise was perfect. Fabulous coffee.
Would definitely stay again if in the area .

Thank you Wendy for your lovely review. Sorry about the black pudding we do usually have it on our breakfast when we able to get it as we like to get from our local butcher. Hopefully see you in the future. Trisha

This was our second stay with Trish and John at their family run farm.
Thank you for a perfect holiday in an extremely comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and dressed, warm and cosy after a cooler
day's exploring.
We started our day with a fantastic breakfast, great choices and no need for lunch!
There is a trout lake on the farm if you feel like a spot of fly fishing and a Summer House
by the lake where I sat and read while hubby fished.
The Greyhound at Bagby is an excellent restaurant, recommended by Trish.
Thank you both, we hope to see you again soon. Sue & Roger

We stayed here for our son and daughter in law's wedding. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and felt totally relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble. The facilities are fantastic, the bed was so comfortable that I had the best night 's sleep in months. The breakfast was superb, there was a continental selection and everything else cooked to order. I needed to leave early for a hairdresser appointment but was still cooked a hot breakfast.
We had a fantastic experience and will definitely return.

Stayed as a stopover during a 2 day riding holiday, lovely bedrooms with en suites which were badly needed at the end of a warm sunny day! Ate at the greyhound in Ragby which was wonderful. Rooms were clean and bedding was spotless. It was nice to hear the sounds of the countryside out of the window. Breakfast was really good. The whole atmosphere was peaceful, despite being on a working farm. Highly recommend
