We loved our stay at High Paradise Farm! Really quirky accommodation in tiny house in farm courtyard. It won't be everyone's cup of tea, but we loved the log stove in the one main downstairs room (along with make-shift kitchen and 2 comfy sofa/ single beds), top quality shower room, tiny stairs to low ceiling open beam loft bedroom with double bed, and roll top bath on the landing.... Loads of towels provided, and even a jug of fresh milk in the fridge! Overnight snow storm gave us an incredible atmosphere at the very remote, exposed location. Cake and drinks in the tea room were freshly made and delicious, and the host couldn't have been more thoughtful and accommodating of our needs. We had a wonderful stay in a really special and individual place. Thank you!

Not my first stay at High Paradise and certainly not my last, it is just a blissful place to relax and recharge. This time I introduced my dearest friends to the place and they too will be back with their families in tow very soon. We stayed in the Dairy and it is so comfy, has everything you need and a most welcome log burning stove to come back to after a hard day's hiking around THE most glorious countryside. It is spacious, with comfy beds and a lovely hot shower. Two things to bear in mind with the Dairy (not the other cottages), there is no sink in the kitchenette, but that means your washing up is magically taken away each day and done for you (you might bring some washing up stuff if you need things straight away that can be done in the bathroom sink) and the only loo is accessible through the only bedroom (beds 3 & 4 in the lounge). Neither of these things bothered us, but you do need to be aware.
Even though we stayed in August the heavens opened and we were soaked on our return. Although the tea shop had closed for the day Ginni, our host, was on hand and she put the central heating on for us to dry out and brought a clothes airer too. She is the perfect hostess, tries to pre-empt anything you might need, always cheerful, approachable and full of fun, but if you like to be alone, is diplomatic enough to not bother you unnecessarily. She is a force of nature and runs a fabulous fabulous place! If you love peace, tranquility and gorgeous countryside on your doorstep, this is the place for you. Nightlife - no. Pubs are within hiking distance and even closer driving and the teashop can supply you with drinks, scones, cakes, breakfasts to cook yourself and evening meals to reheat, etc - but do bring your own stuff and you can't go wrong.
We were emailed lots of info before we arrived, covid policy and what to expect, what we should bring and check in was simple. Ginni likes to greet everyone under normal circumstances and a friendly welcome is guaranteed, but when you're under restrictions these days, she has done the best she could have to ensure a seamless check in. The resident dogs certainly know how to provide a warm welcome and regularly come and check on you too!
Just a wonderful place, truly magical, thank you Ginni and team x

High Paradise Farm is a real hidden gem. We have stayed here many times and always come away planning our next trip. It's a perfect stopover on Cleveland Way or on a bike packing trip. The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped with log burning stove, microwave, stovetop and fridge. each accommodation is unique and beautifully presented. Evening meals and cook your own breakfasts are available to pre-order and are always delicious and excellent value for money. The pizzas are also delicious, not to mentioned the delicious cakes, Ginni and her staff are always so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. High Paradise is a beautiful peaceful place to unwind and relax after a days walking or biking and just relaxing. There is always a warm greeting from Sausage and Stonker (dogs). The goats are so amusing to watch and you could watch them all day. Can't wait until we are back again

2nd time we've stayed in stable cottage and love it here. The location is excellent, miles from anywhere and right on the Cleveland way, with loads of walks in any direction you choose (beware it's called 'high' for a reason and the last part of any walk is uphill !). The clear night skies are fantastic for a bit of star gazing and the people who run the farm and cottages are all very friendly and put us at ease straight away. The farm has goats, pigs, geese, bullocks, horses and chickens so lots of photo opportunities. We were lucky enough to be there for an event on the Saturday night with live music, hog roast, pizzas, cakes, beers and so on (#moors100), Ginny advised us of this beforehand and kindly invited us to join in the festivities which just added to a great, long weekend. Couldn't have asked for more.

Just returned from a wonderful 4 night break at paradise farm staying in the stable cottage. If you need to get away from the rat race and slow down this is the place to go. Situated on a working farm their are a number of animals just outside the door including goats sheep geese chickens and ducks a couple of horses and the farm dogs who are adorable. The cottage is well worn and could do with a good clean in places but has everything you need and a comfortable relaxing charm. We are looking to rebook in September and can not wait. There are a number of spectacular walks on the doorstep and cycle routes, the Cleveland way runs across the property boundaries and dogs are made very welcome. The owners are very approachable and friendly and the cafe cakes/scones are delicious. The location is very remote so essential to take supplies you need with you initially.

Warm summers evening up on the moors in an August heat wave - with a lovely platter prepared by Ginny - what could be better to relax after a days walking.
Charging is a little interesting - basic proposition is that you pay for a room and bring your bedding and your food. For walkers these are provided but at additional cost.
Also be prepared for many emails giving you details about Paradise Farm and never being sure which need replying to!

We loved our stay at high paradise, it is BEAUTIFUL, we had the best time here, but most importantly the love and passion that has gone into this place is evident in abundance, and for me that's paramount, if I'm staying somewhere and I can see the dedication thats gone into it for me that tops everything. Yes it's rustic, (it's a farm) but that added to the charm (unintentional rhyming!) For us as a family including a moody teenage boy, a 7 year old girl and a German shepherd puppy it was honestly perfect. We came on a day with typical Yorkshire rain but it didn't dampen our spirits , We stayed in the Corn Store, the roll top Bath in the ensuite was particularly welcome as was the log burner. It isn't the height of luxury so if that's what you're looking for then you're probably better off in a hotel but it definitely isn't back to basics either! It is a place with such a positive and laid back vibe and the hosts were lovely. I also wish I wasn't already married as a wedding here would be right up my street, I genuinely want to get married at high paradise so if you ever start doing wedding renewals can you please let me know 😂 I would definitely recommend it and would absolutely stay here again.

The people at High paradise Farm could not have done any more than they did to make our stay enjoyable and fun. We arrived to find a freshly made bolognaise ready to re-heat. The team had gone of to source GF pasta, Bread and pasties for our overnight stay. So very kind.
They have self catering units which are very sweet. We had an upstairs bathroom and downstairs was the bed, small kitchen area with a table, two chairs and a log burner.
They have a cafe during the day and once closed they offer residents a bar service. Good beers!!
They have goats, chickens and sheep.

Room Tip: As walkers we carried so little, they provided everything we needed. They do offer packed lunches.

We arrived at High Paradise for a one night stay at the end of October after 8 miles walking on the Cleveland Way and were grateful to reach our shelter for the night after a grey mizzly day. It soon became very clear that our booking was after the end of the usual walking season as the tearoom was not open (weekends only at this time of year) and we were the only staying guests. We followed written instructions to let ourselves in, then chose some items from the onsite honesty shop (mainly frozen and packaged goods) to create an interesting dinner and quirky breakfast on the kitchenette unit in our room. The room was chilly on arrival but had a wonderful wood-burning stove which, once alight, soon made it toasty inside. There was also a very effective heated towel rail in the bathroom. Ginny was on site and came promptly when we needed her to respond to our query.

Lovely accommodation with a kitchen which was handy for making your breakfast the next morning and also a warm meal was made available in the evening ( extra cost ) for those walking the Cleveland way. There was a cafe on site on arrival for tea and cake. Wood burner was welcome for those cooler evenings
