We went to the Hind Hotel for afternoon tea. The tea was nice, well presented and there was enough to eat. The hotel was clean and tidy. Parking was difficult as could not find anything on site, but car parks are near by.

I stayed there for one night only. It was so funny when I arrived and saw huge spider on the ceiling. My friend was close to heart attack, but staff was very helpful to get rid of this monster straight away! Good place to stay in this nice town. Breakfast was served in the restaurant. Good as well

Our mother's 100th birthday was at the Hind today. They really looked after us well and the food was great. We'd recommend it for your birthday party or other event. Many thanks to the very helpful staff.

I'd been looking at the reviews of the Hind Hotel carvery on a Sunday, and thought I'd try it. Overall it was a pleasant experience, with a few observations. The area was well laid out in a traditional style relating to an old style hotel. The service couldn't be faulted by the waitress & the carvery chef. However, we thought...

Took my mum there for her 85th birthday and had an excellent meal. Choice of beef, pork and Turkey with all the trimmings with extra veg brought to the table. We all had Parma ham and melon to start but too stuffed for pudding. Loved the history of the hotel and the request to see the Cromwell room was met...

Historic town centre hotel, said to be haunted, in need of investment and maintenance but priced accordingly. Staff go out of their way to help and are friendly. No lift due to being a listed building. Some ground floor accommodation. Car park is a case of knit one pearl one. Okay if everyone is thoughtful of others which seems to...

Floors very creaky so apologies to whoever was below me I tried not to walk much. For the price and location it was great....

It's called 'Vintage Afternoon Tea' could be because of odd crockery nothing matching, first visit we had burnt cakes with icing running down the sides like a child would bring home from nursery school. Second attempt a little better (cakes brought in now) so not made on the premises, cakes and scones dry and tasteless nothing special or memorable. Staff...
