The Travelodge Towcester Silverstone garners mixed feedback from guests, with commendations for its recent refurbishments and the friendliness of its staff, who are often described as helpful and professional. While the hotel's amenities and cleanliness generally meet travelers' expectations, some guests have mentioned the absence of certain features and occasional cleaning oversights. The location is well-regarded for its proximity to the Silverstone circuit and local amenities, though concerns have been raised regarding room accessibility and dated aspects of the decor. Overall, opinions on value and comfort vary among visitors.

You get what you pay for and this Travelodge is not expensive but did exactly what it says on the tin. It is a reasonably priced short stay hotel, no frills, clean and adequate.
4 colleagues attending an event at Silverstone Circuit needing somewhere to simply lay our heads for the night.
The site has adjacent a Starbucks, a McDonalds and a BP petrol station with a shop. The a travel lodge had 2 separate blocks of rooms we end up with 2 staff in each. Parking was free and adequate particularly as we had two vehicles attending including a long wheel based van.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was clean, contained the usual open hanging space and shelves, kettle with hot drink (coffee, tea etc) and a tv. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was as you expect with a shower over the bath and a shower curtain that was determined to hug you but the water was powerful enough and hit.
It did everything we expected and the location was excellent for Silverstone

We stayed for 3 nights to attend a funeral just after Christmas. We had a family room. The two chairs supplied were very uncomfortable to sit in, with sloping sides, it was tiring supporting our arms. The chairs did not fit under the desk and had previous damage on them from attempts to push them under, out of the way. Only two teabags were supplied, but the staff supplied more on request. The shower curtain was badly positioned and hung, causing it to stick to the body whilst showering. The bath was very slippy underfoot and needs a bathmat. The shelves in the room had not been dusted for some time, neither had the TV. The TV kept losing service and some channels were non-existent. We did not attempt to use the wifi. There were no electric sockets on the headboard side of the room at all so all phone charging etc. had to be done on the opposite side of the room from where we were sleeping. The bathroom light switch is situated so that the room is flooded with light when opening the door to enter. The bathroom light made quite a noise when switching on. The bathroom door was very noisy. The main outer door slammed very loudly and some guests didn't bother to close it quietly causing us to jump frequently. The mattress was very comfortable. We did not have the overpriced breakfast, we paid for just the basic room, no extras, very good price.
The staff we met were friendly and helpful.

Checked into my room early in the day, everything was fine, came back a little later to find out the water had been shut off because of a burst water pipe.
With no other cleaned rooms available the woman in reception, Lisa ann was very understanding and actually went to the trouble of cleaning a room with water supply so I wouldn't have to relocate to Milton Keynes.
Very helpful and very friendly.

The extra mile… Staff at this hotel were really friendly And really could not do enough for me on my visit… even offered to carry my luggage and I was shown to my room. The hotel itself was really clean and even the cleaner was a nice happy smiley person. The receptionist/manager Josh really was exceptional and he organised a very quiet room for me at the back block as he knew I had flown in on an early flight that morning. This may be a budget hotel chain put the beds are comfortable… Everything is always clean and this particular Travelodge is quite exceptional thanks to the staff

Checked in to find that the room was unbearably hot (over 30 degrees). I spoke to the last at reception who said that they put the heaters to maximum in every room because some customers were arriving to cold rooms. We couldn't change rooms because all rooms were heated to the same temperature. Our radiator had a thermostat and the temperature was set to maximum. This could have easily been set lower to heat the room to a sensible temperature. I took the secondary glazing panels out, tied the curtains back and went out for dinner. 2 hours later the room was still too warm but was just about bearable. Had a terrible night sleep. I've stayed in some bad Travelodge hotels but this is the worst. Reception just don't care. Shocking. Would advise stating somewhere else. I would have slept better in my car...

I stayed at this travelodge with my son for the British GP weekend.
It is in a fantastic location for a Silverstone visit, there was a shuttle bus which took you to the circuit (for an additional charge).
There are places to eat and drink within walking distance.
The room was clean and tidy, with tea and coffee making facilities and a fan had been provided in the room as it was a very hot weekend.
We were in a room at the front of the hotel, closest to the dual carriageway but it was surprisingly quiet in the room.
The staff were lovely and friendly and we were even offered chilled bottles of water before we left for race day.
After we had initially booked we had to amend our booking twice, due to Covid and a change in the dates of the race. The staff that I spoke to on the phone were very helpful in amending the booking on both occasions.
We will definitely be visiting again.

Very pleasant stay. The room was spotless and the reception staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. As a solo female traveler I was given a room close to the reception which made me feel secure - thank you.

Stayed here overnight to be in the office for work the next day. I wanted to avoid the two and a half hour drive to work so I could arrive refreshed and ready for the day.....that unfortunately wasn't the case.

I must have been the last person to check in, I arrived just before 8pm. The receptionist was very friendly and gave me the key for room 1. It is right next to reception, and the door to the room is adjacent to two other doors; one for guests to come in and out and the other door is used by the staff to get in and out to the reception desk. All night long there were either guests in and out or the staff were nipping out for a smoke. Staff were also pottering around doing god knows what outside my door well past midnight.

The noise from the doors opening and closing woke me throughout the night, I had a terrible sleep and eventually gave up trying at 5.30am when the reception staff were having a chat outside my door.

I was worried about being kept awake by the noise from the major road outside, but the sound proofing for external noise was pretty good. But internally the noise in this particular room was terrible, my bed may as well have been in reception itself.

Room was clean and the bed was comfy, and staff were friendly. But if you're put in room 1 don't expect to get a decent sleep. If you're staying here being earplugs just to be in the safe side.

I don't know what the other rooms are like, but room 1 was very tired and dated. It's set up for disabled guests, so had a shallow/short bath with a shower over it. I tried having a bath but had to lay with my legs up the wall to get my upper body under the water, it wasn't quite the relaxing soak I was hoping for! The water was piping hot though.

Would I stay again? Most likely not, but if I really had to I'd make sure I checked in early in the hope I wouldn't get room 1 again.

Sat nav code given doesn't take you to the hotel, it takes you to the A43 2 roundabouts before the hotel.
The room wasn't the cleanest, light switches were brown but when I used a wipe on them they were white underneath so clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long while, I would expect more attention to detail in high touch areas even without Covid being an issue.

The non slip area of the bath was no longer non slip and made using the bath or shower quite hazardous.

Only 2 plug sockets in the room and about 7 sockets blanked off.

Considering it's so close to the A43 and the petrol station we were not disturbed by traffic noise.
It is in a good location for visiting London, Milton Keynes etc

Not travelodges fault but the person in the room above spent most of their time moving the furniture around the room whilst wearing concrete shoes!!

No shuttle service to Silverstone racetrack as advertised.
Room not cleaned or attended to for the full duration of the stay
Soap dispenser not filled after repeated requests
No rubbish bin in room so 4 days of waste accumulated on the floor that was not removed.
Room walls ultra thin so noise easily transmitted from adjacent rooms

Pets are welcome at the Towcester Silverstone Travelodge, you can add them to your booking for a one time fee of £20 for the duration of your stay. Where possible you will be allocated a ground floor room. You will also find a small park area behind the main building for them to stretch their legs.

We have approximately 50-60 car parking spaces, free to use as needed. You do not need to leave your details with reception. The Starbucks prefers that the section right outside their store is left clear for their customers to make their flying visits to the establishment. In 15 months, I have never seen our car park at capacity.
