Detailed Reviews
Travelled to Bundanoon to spend some time and money in support of bushfire ravaged towns. Booked into he Bundanoon Country Lodge for three nights. Room is large and comfortable, bathroom has shower, vanity, toilet and heat lamps, which we used when we had morning showers. There is also air conditioning, coffee pod machine, and Andrew, the owner provided us with a micro wave in case we wished to eat in.
The room contained two beds, one queen and one single. The queen was comfortable and there were a selection of pillows.
Our only concern was that the walls are not sound proof and that our neighbour was loud when talking.

My friend and I had 2 nights in the two- bedroom apartment at the back of the motel complex. It was most comfortable, very spacious, with a new bathroom and lovely decor. The location of this motel is really very central to all Southern Highlands attractions. The bar and bistro were not open during our stay, but it is literally a short 5 minute walk to Bundanoon pub and several other restaurants and cafes. Andrew and his staff were very friendly and helpful. We'd love to stay here again.
P.S. Other reviewers have mentioned the train noise. We did hear some trains, but it sounded quite distant and it didn't bother either of us at all.

This Motel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are very big as is the bathroom. The manager called the morning of our arrival to check what time we would be there and the professional service continued to flow from there. It is basic but when touring it is more than adequate. the motel is also wellw ithin walking distance of teh little town centre and the town is easy to walk anywhere else as well

The Bundanoon Motel is a beautiful place to stay, it's very tranquil environment, the motel room is a good size, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is a good size, they have tables & chairs so you can sit outside & enjoy the quietness, while having a wine or beer with nibbles or dinner, I can't believe how peaceful it is. Very good value from money, I highly recommended staying here. My husband & I will defiantly stay here again. I rate this motel 5 stars.

Hi Rochelle - thank you for your comments and your understanding while you stayed through the worst of the bush fire period. Your comments let us know we are heading in the right direction. We are aiming for a stress free, casual motel where the guests can do as much or as little as they want. I look forward to welcoming you and hubby back to our little oasis in Bundanoon - regards - Andrew.

Bundanoon is a great little village in the Highlands with a pretty main street unlike the busier Bowral and Moss Vale town centres - the motel itself is not particularly attractive but offers travellers a comfortable stay although this is a motel so nothing fancy but functional.
Rooms are ordinary but quote spacious
The outdoor areas though could use some TLC to give some character. Very good value though and while some had the train noise it did not bother us. .

We arrived at the Motel and checked in with a lady whom wasn’t really welcoming to be honest, nothing bad but nothing warm and welcoming. Bundanoon is a sleepy little town and it seemed the room was also a bit tired. It was ok looking for a night however the bathroom hadn’t been renovated since the 80s it seemed and had cob webs on the windows. The main issues was the walls are paper thin we could hear ole mate next door word for word talking in his phone, tv and snoring which was the worst I have ever experienced and I have stayed in literally hundreds of hotels in 40 countries. The trains you could here occasionally however that was nothing compared to the bloke next door. So if you bring some ear plugs and have a decent old drink prior to bed you may be fine for a night 🤣

Sor ry the bloke next door was a bit noisy - maybe just knock on the door next time and ask him to lower his voice. Our two ladies who in reception are usually both noted for their bubbly personalities so maybe she had a bad day - I do apologise.. Yes, it is a an older country motel, no, not every room is renovated but we try to get there and do one at a time when funds permit. As for the cobwebs, I do apologise the cleaners must have missed them. Regards, Andrew.

+1
We stayed here for one night and never again. The queen suite was smaller than I thought. The floor was dirty as I could feel it on my bare feet.
The bedside lamps both were broken and had cobwebs on them going up to the ceiling.
The toilet didn’t flush properly so that was just ridiculous. We had to use the bathroom bin to try and flush water down the loo. And even the bin had a hole in it.
The TV just kept popping and the picture was distorted the whole time.
We did complain to the manager and he said the room was cleaned . They should review their cleaners cause this was not up to standard at all.

Well I see you bothered to leave a terrible review even after discussing the situation with me ??? Some people should not travel from their ivory towers to country areas, that is all I will see on this matter. Regards, Andrew (Manager).

I stayed here a couple of nights this week. The manager owner is a friendly guy and the rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was really comfy. Good hot water pressure in the shower too. There is a nice lawn area out the front of the rooms to soak up a few rays after exploring the Morton National Park nearby.

Long weekend stay in Bundanoon for a girls trip. we stayed in the two bedroom apartment at the rear of the hotel and Very comfortable . Small kitchenette stocked with the basics and coffeemaker . Two bathrooms , although one with toilet and basin and the other had a shower and full corner bath . Worked well for us. Great bedding and super warm . Plus electric blankets on beds . East walk from the main street and owners very accommodating with answering our requests . Looking forward to returning.
