Superb and authentic Japanese breakfast and dinner are served at Shizuka. All the staff are considerate and nice. They prepared a nice birthday cake and roses for my girlfriend. My spa and massage experience is amazing as well. The therapists are very experienced and can tell you straightaway which parts of your body have issues and provide some useful tips...

Food was absolutely amazing! Geisha Facials the best I've ever had. A fantastic venue to relax and unwind in peace & quiet. I highly recommend a long hot bath after dinner in the beautiful bathroom overlooking your private garden. Thankyou Catherine - we will definitely be back!

Celebrated our wedding anniversary at Shizuka Ryokan, this tranquil retreat transported us to Japan. Thank you so much Catherine and staff for making this a memorable stay. Your attention to detail was A+ as was the delicious food, especially the Banquet, Japanese breakfast and homemade shortbreads on arrival. Recommend this Gem, you will not be disappointed. ⛩🇯🇵

We stayed here last month and were amazed at the attention to detail in the gardens outside and inside. The private zen garden was gorgeous and the renovated bathrooms were amazing (the shower was wow!). It felt really authentic with the tatami mats and futons and the Japanese breakfast was delicious. Very similar to the ryokans we have stayed in...

Nestled away in Hepburn Springs, our stay at Shizuka Ryokan was peaceful and tranquil, perfect for a little relaxation and to get away from it all. Loved the ryokan decor and tatami mats and the zen garden. The in room bathtub was very relaxing to use (though it's not an onsen type bath). The dinner and breakfast were all very...

This place does stand out because of its Japanese style. I was impressed with tatami and futons, as well as the balcony doors with paper windows. The food is really nice and Japanese. All plates, bowls, saucers and potties are very cute and match the food and the overall style of the place. The garden is well maintained. It is...

It was a pleasure, Sergiy, to host you and Olga for a couple of nights. I'm glad you enjoyed your little taste of Japan and hope Olga enjoyed Creswick Woollen Mills on your last day.

Stayed at Shizuka Ryokan for two nights to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Lovely place to relax and unwind. Good massages by Marge and Richard. Delicious food. Would recommend Japanese breakfast and banquet.Expensive, but worth it for a special occasion.

Great little experience of Japan in Victoria! We've previously been to a ryokan in Japan, and even though it's missing the typical Japanese onsen, this little place does carry all the essence of a Japanese ryokan! I would recommend anyone who hasn't been to a ryokan to try this out. It's a very pleasant experience with Japanese staff who are...

A night away with my husband was just perfect. A peaceful Japanese retreat. We were really looked after, the room was nice and quiet. The bathroom was spacious with a deep set tub for a great soak. Breakfast was delicious, and we also added on the Japanese dinner as we stayed on a Saturday night. It was a great banquet...
