If you like cosy, homely, vintage, quirky, cottage feel, and if your British and feeling nostalgic this is like your nans; then this is the place for you. If your a modern person likes up to date savvy modern environments don't book here. It's definitely very homely, and the owners are very genuine kind people. You can tell how much... More

We arrived on a chilly Tuesday afternoon. No one was there to greet us so we called the phone number provided. A man answered saying the owners were away and that our key was in the door. The room was cold and smelly. The electric jug didn't work, the tv reception was terrible and the crockery was dirty and dusty.... More

The hedge around the building is amazing - it looks like its going to be a fabulous place to stay. We were in one of the motel like rooms near the car park and the room itself was fine. The bath was the smallest I've ever seen but the water pressure in the shower was good. Heating was adjustable and... More

We spent three nights there last week. Quaint, old-fashioned but very comfortable. There was no shampoo or shower soap provided but some were provided after mentioning this. The main house has a large library, a sun room and a pool table available to guests. Our host Eddie was very helpful with tips on where to eat and what to see.... More

We had one of the cosy upstairs rooms which open onto the verandah overlooking tall trees and the back garden, lovely spot for afternoon drinks. We loved spending time in the library room. Great location with Star café just up the road for our breakfast and just down the road is the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa which is the public... More

We stayed here one night. We had a beautiful, large room with a balcony overlooking the valley. The bathroom was recently renovated, with a shower and separate bathtub. The common facilities like library, pool billard room, kitchen have obviously been left unchanged for decades - very charming! The hosts were very friendly and nice.

Amazing place, thirties revisited . Stacked high with curiosities. Great garden, lovely walks, an air of faded elegance and staggering views. Balconies and verandas straight from Graham Greene. Good library and a billiard room.
