The restaurant needs to improve their customer service. I ordered the duck....but got fish and chips! There were only 2 staff on duty that night and no-one came to check if everything was ok. I went to go and find someone, but then they just left the meal on the table in front of me; very awkward! The next morning...

I dined at the restaurant in this resort with some 9 other people. We all arrived at the same time and was served. The service was good and the menu varied and with lots of options. We all ordered with some people needing slight variations. From here we waited and waited. Meals took a long time. A minimum of 30...

After reading some comments on Tripadvisor I am wondering what people expect from a place. The Resort Hotel is located on the Main street and Entry to Reception is from Green Street with easy parking. The Reception girl was very friendly and we were very impressed with our Resort room. It was clean and renovated. We had a balcony with...

We stayed one night in a two bedroom apartment with another couple. Modern decor and facilities, clean and comfortable. Grounds and pool very well cared for and snack bar on ground floor very good - nice Rose wine and sushi! Breakfast in upstairs restaurant was a bit hit and miss as our orders were confused. Overall great value.

We had a two bedroomed apartment for two nights. The apartment was comfortable but the lighting is way too dim. Energy bulbs are being used and they take too long to warm up. An upgrade to brighter led lamps is in order. The staff were friendly, the place was clean and the restaurant food was good. We were unlucky to...

Our hotel recommended we dine here on Good Friday, being the only restaurant in town that would be open. After a long drive and an afternoon in the sun, we eagerly headed off to the restaurant for dinner. As we were early, we settled in to the comfy couches for pre-dinner drinks. The kids enjoyed a mocktail each. We were...

Close to everything in Cooktown. Views of sea from second floor... however my son's android tablet couldn't connect to wifi at all, even though I had the same device...and post 9pm, mine wouldn't either... which marred an otherwise great stay. Visitors need to bear in mind that Cooktown is remote.... but this hotel still has superb food and hospitality

We used an online booking site. On arrival we did not receive the bedding configuration that I had booked and they said they didn't receive any details on the bedding configuration. They could not change what we had but gave us a rollaway bed promptly (it was very hard to sleep on). The pool looked lovely, and if you like...

I booked here for 2 nights with my wife as we've not been to Cooktown before and was really surprised. The hotel is right in the heart of the main street of town with beautiful views and everything about the hotel was immaculate. The rooms were great the gardens were beautiful and excellent pool area. There is a restaurant and...

Arrived on a Saturday, stayed for 1 night in 2 bed/2 bathroom apartment on ground floor. Rooms are dark until lights warm up then the lighting is fine. Very spacious and modern, lovely bathrooms. A couple of lights weren't working and being a weekend no maintenance staff on shift but wasn't a problem. Swam in the pool in late afternoon,...
