e mailed a couple of hotels in Cooktown after reading reviews from previous customers. Being "low season" (February) we were offered an automatic discount on the standard rates for a deluxe room. upon arrival we were directed to the car park at the rear of the deluxe room's block, the room entrance is at the rear but the room is...

We stayed in a two bedroom townhouse unit overlooking the bay for two nights. The motel is within walking distance of all the main shops and sight seeing attractions. Beds a very comfortable and the unit had all we needed. Motel staff very friendly. Should try the cafe near the jetty for meals - great pastry cook - we had...

We really enjoyed a few days away & the road trip to get to Cooktown. The Seaview is centrally located, has friendly staff, has a pool & is walking distance to the few local eateries & services. It has an absolutely gorgeous view at sunset of the water & boats. We had our wine, beers & nibbles all set and...

I Love going to Cooktown and staying at the Seaview Motel. There are sweeping views of the Histroric Endeavour River where Cook had spent a few months fixing his ship which the river is named after. There are Historical landmarks all over the town including the Museum and colourful pavements giving you glimpses into the past, which also includes the...

Arrived from Cape Tribulation and were just looking for one night's stay. Got a standard room which was old, but clean and adequate. Loved the pool and the view from the garden. Good value for money and very friendly staff.

Firstly I requested a budget room. Fair enough but I expected at least hot water? It wasn't even peak. It was 9 pm. Walls a paper thin. Be aware especially when you have backpackers bed hopping or whatever the hell they were doing at 4 am in the morning in the next room. Can't blame the motel for that. Decided...

Check in was excellent, although they were a bit busy when we arrived. Smiley face and good info of area etc given. We had a deluxe room on the first floor, with a great balcony overlooking the wharves to the North. Great room, spacious and comfortable. Aircon was excellent, bed comfy. Toaster, Jug, knives etc side plates. Hair dryer in...

When you book a budget room you do not expect luxury and we didn't get any but the room was exceptionally clean and the bed comfy. The pool was clean and refreshing and we made use of the bbqs available to cook our dinner. What made this place perfect was the views over the river and the layout of the...

An older style motel in a great position overlooking the river at Cooktown. Humble in appearance but with cross breezes and sitting out on the verandah watching the sun go down it was very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. Five stars for position in Cooktown.

Very clean and tidy. Rooms great. Lovely views of the Endeavour River. Walking distance to the bowling club for a great meal. Was very quiet. Our group of nine people really enjoyed their stay and hope to return.
