Could have been better for $130 bathroom was tired looking, TV tiny, but the killer was the noisy aircon... Holy cow what a racket. It is actually quite dangerous if you are on a long road trip and need a good night sleep, you won't...More

This motel is conveniently located close to the Stockman's Hall of Fame and the Qantas Museum (perhaps inconveniently close if you would prefer to drive but your conscience tells you to walk.) The room was clean and modern, but the TV was inconveniently placed for...More

A nice large hotel. Plenty of parking. Can fit caravans in some of the parking areas. Big pool and nice restaurant on site.
Staff were extremely helpful.
Rooms are a bit dated but very clean. Aircon works well. Will definitely stay here again.

Hi, coming by train, is 2 nights enough to see the sights and get the outback experience? Not sure what else to see except Hall of Fame. Many thanks.

2 days is not enough time to spend in the beautiful part of the country. But how long is enough time.....well that depends on the individual. The Stockmans Hall of Fame is great and so too is QANTAS. Spend some time at the coffee shops and meet plenty of locals. Ask if they would take you to a cattle station where you will experience the REAL bush. I was in Townsville yesterday and by chance met an old lady sitting on a park bench. She looked lonely so I spoke with her. What a surpirse!! She was not lonely, she was in Townsville with her grangchildren, all the way from Winton (which is near Longreach and worth a visit). These people have some much to tell us "City folk", it will blow your mind to listen to them as they tell teir stories of fun and laughter and sorror. They are the salt of the Earth, the Gems of the Outback, the people all of us need to meet. Please spend some time with the locals. Ask Lloyd at the Stockman's (CEO) to help you meet some locals. Hes a nice friendly fellow, or talk to Sue at the BP. I hope this helps.
