This is one of the hostels you have to know from the inside! The extroverted people living here, the friendly staff, free internet, free stand-up paddle boards, surfboards etc. is wonderful! Not to mention the amazing view over the river mouth!

The staff is friendly and is well located but our room (a double) was very small and overpriced, we did like the style very stained and easygoing but the kitchen and common bathrooms weren't clean enough.

A friend and I accepted jobs from a local farm as strawberry packer (female) and strawberry picker (male). We were told accomodation would be provided and were pretty excited about our first job. However, our excitement over the location was the only positive experience about this hostel. It is situated right next to the Maroochydore River and you only need...

This hostel is right next to the beach & a park with free barbecues etc. It does look a little shabby from the outside but I think this just adds to it's charm really. Rooms are clean & beds are comfortable. Communal ares can get dirty in the evenings, but it is a hostel and you learn to accept things...

Disgustingly filthy dirty. A Health risk. No cleaning products-disinfectants & what little dishwash liquid was available was watered down. No cloths for cleaning. Tea towels disgusting as had to use them as cloth to wipe benches before you cd even make a cup coffee let alone breakfast or any meal. Dishes & pans GROSS left ea day not washed or...

Well we should have known it wouldn't be too flash after choosing the cheapest accommodation option, but I have to say this backpackers is one of the most run down old buildings that I've ever seen! BUT in saying that, we had a great stay. The atmosphere is good with a laid back vibe and free BBQ on Saturdays, the...

We were extremely disappointed on arrival at the state of the house. First impressions were not good, the garden is a mess and the inside of the house is not much better. Staff were not that helpful and the only good thing was how close it was to the beach. Wifi is available but you have to pay, which is...

Stayed here five days in summer time. Everyone and everything is very laid back and easy going, sometimes a bit too much. Needs an upgrade when it comes to, well, pretty much everything. All the rooms are basic, kitchen is basic, bathrooms are basic. You just get what you pay for really. They do offer farm work, but you have...
