Distinct, relaxed and set in tropical paradise surrounds, ecovillage mission beach offers a unique holiday in the beautiful Far North. Set in unspoiled rainforest and only metres to Mission Beach’s iconic golden stretch of coastline, the resort is exclusively located where World Heritage rainforest fronts the Great Barrier Reef. The unique Clump Point coastal basalt formations, rock pools and their ecosystems are unique to the Wet Tropics and are significant to the Djiru Traditional Owners. Relaxing is easy in this tropical paradise resort, offering guest accommodation bungalows or stylish spa suites, all with private balconies. Grab a sun lounge and watch the kids have fun in the lagoon pool, or enjoy a drink and watch the breathtaking sunset sweep over Dunk Island. When you’re ready to discover more, the local shops and cafes are only a short walk away and the resort is also close to many of the activities and tours on offer in the area. So whether you are looking for adventure or to simply unwind, you will never forget this unique little piece of paradise.
We loved spending four nights here! It was so beautiful set amongst the tropical QLD jungle and nearby the Sandy Beach! We were just close enough to the main attractions whilst having all the privacy we wanted :) it was super clean and the owners were absolutely great & so kind! We highly recommend and would go again!

We stayed one night but should have had longer. The only room was a family room which had everything we needed except a family, it was plenty big enough. You can hear the waves from your bed, such a lovely secluded spot at the end of mission beach. We could see the water from our room. A lovely husband and wife couple that run the resort, great service.

An absolute oasis! What a gem. Nestled right in the rainforest as it touches the ocean, this accommodation is by far the best location in the area. The walk into town is about 15 minutes (1.2km) and very beautiful (you can walk by the beach on the Ulysses walking track). All facilities were excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in a bungalow, which unexpectedly had a kitchen! All bungalows have an outlook into peaceful bush with the ocean lapping the shore through the trees. The pool is gorgeous with natural rocky leafy features so it feels like a rainforest rock pool. There is a stunning on-site restaurant overlooking the ocean which isn’t in use during covid but you can still sit on the deck with a book or picnic and enjoy. Hire bikes are available. Free WiFi…

My Husband and I first stayed here 10 years ago on our first visit to Mission a Beach and have stayed another 5 or 6 times since and it really hasn’t changed. The rooms are clean, inviting and well equipped. Now as a family we prefer to stay in the rainforest view bungalow though have previously stayed in the king spa room. It is lovely to sit outside on the verandah and every effort has been made in its design to ensure a degree of privacy. The beds are comfortable and at the end of a two week road trip I had the best nights sleep here listening to the sound of the waves and enjoyed the breeze through the room. The pool is lovely to swim in, the grounds well maintained and have a relaxing tropical feel. It is a short stroll into town and cafes and has its own access onto…

After a 1 night stay 15 years ago we finally returned staying 3 nights in a self contained bungalow. Very clean, spacious, great kitchen and comfortable bed. A very quiet location including private beach access and only a short walk to shops. Great hosts who take pride in their property.

We stayed her for 4 nights. $148 per night plus card surcharge. Booked direct because its cheaper than booking.con. We stayed in villa no. 10 with glimpses of the ocean. Very quiet and secluded. Pool was beautiful as were the surroundings. Washing machine and dryer available for $4 each. No restaurant open or bar. $30 charge if you leave dirty cups etc on the sink in your room. The tavern and a couple of shops are about a 10 min walk along the beach. Mission beach is a nice little town if you don't want to do anything.

We have stayed here before as their policy on deluxe rooms as on their website and all other websites are as follows........All deluxe rooms have a private balcony overlooking t's own tropical water feature - strictly no children allowed. Cots are not permitted in our deluxe rooms. Free basic WIFI is available. Cots are not permitted in our deluxe rooms. How plain can that be?????? We arrived and was met by the managers with a lovely greeting. I asked if we could changed the deluxe spa room to another deluxe spa room that we have previously stayed in. They were happy to oblige. All was great and we were enjoying a quiet moment having a glass of wine outside by our water feature ( which was not even on ) and we heard the guests next door arrive. They had with them heir…

Very clean, spotless in fact! The whole property is very well maintained including the beautiful gardens. We stayed in a spa room and everything was perfect. It's the best place we've stayed at in Mission Beach!

Super quiet and peaceful location in a small piece of rainforest at the northern end of laid back Mission Beach. It's a great place to just sit back and relax with the sound of the scrub on your doorstep. The bungalow we stayed in had everything you need including if you wanted to self cater as well. However, the village has easy access to Mission Beach which is a brilliant 20 minute walk down to the main hub of restaurants and cafes. If you need somewhere quiet to relax for a few days, this is the place to be.

We spent a week in this lovely spot, just the ticket for a laid back getaway on the beautiful Cassowary Coast. Steve and Trudy were fabulous hosts- friendly, helpful and just a top couple who love their property and love taking care of their guests. Basic, well priced, clean and comfy bungalows, with excellent bed and great shower, set right in a patch of coastal rainforest with direct access to Mission Beach. About a 20 min stroll to bars and restaurants and very central to all the best sights and attractions on the coast. Amazing gardens, full of lush, green, wet tropical plants with the backdrop of the natural forest surrounds. We hope Eco Village never changes the recipe - simple, beautiful and a little reminder of how holidays used to be before commercialism and mass…
