Our stay at Licuala Lodge was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. Beautiful surroundings, the lodge is set well away from the street, very quiet, the only thing you hear are the sounds of the rainforest. The buildings are surrounded by rainforest to one side and their own large, beautiful garden to the other. The room itself...

We occupied the whole of Licuala lodge for a family reunion for a week. It suited our needs perfectly with lots of spaces to gather together and hide away, a beautiful pool for the children, a magnificent tropical garden with birds, butterflies and a frequently visiting friendly cassowary. Mick and Sue are friendly, helpful and flexible hosts and breakfast was...

Hi Yamtrail - we don't have many guests that book out the whole Lodge, but if your group numbers around 12 then all we can do is agree with you that it is the perfect place :-) Cooking and laundry is all here, along with the cassowary. And as you so rightly point out, plenty to do in Mission Beach...

We were delighted to have chosen this accommodation for our stay in the Mission Beach area. A huge bonus was the shared guest area separate from the bedrooms where we could prepare and eat meals, mingle with other guests and even do the laundry if required. The bedrooms were lovely although we could see that if all rooms were occupied...

We stayed at Licuala Lodge for 3 nights, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Mick and Sue are great hosts. We booked a queen room but was upgraded to a king-sized suite with our own private verandah. We booked the accommodation and water-rafting through their websites and got some discounts and two free bottles of wines. We...

Hi Tan_Soo_Hian - thanks for the review, our very first review from Singapore !!!! You can generally find a bargain if you book directly with accommodation and we are no exception. Breakfast is also a highlight for us - guests are happy to exchange holiday stories, and overlooking our tropical gardens. In the winter months (July/August/September) there is lots more...
