In this day & age you often stay at any type of accommodation and the owners are nameless, faceless and probably not at all in touch with how their guests are enjoying their stay at their accommodation. I am happy to report that at Silky Oaks this is definitely not the case. During our stay for 5 nights/6 days, on...

We went out of our way just to see this lodge on several recommendations when we were staying in Port Douglas. No wonder, it is a spectacular series of connected buildings in an equally impressive setting. Sitting in the open restaurant high above a clear river you feel as if wilderness living could really be fun. Staff are very helpful,...

My husband and I have travelled all over the world and we have to say that never have we received such fantastic service from the Staff and Management of this establishment. We will be back as soon as we can. The setting is amazing and the Chefs (all 5 of them) deserve 'Gold awards' for their choice of Menu each...

Anyone rating this place less than 5 stars needs to have their head examined. We stayed 4 nights two weeks ago and hated to leave. Great owners and staff that could not do enough. Wonderful food. Only very slightly negative: the ala carte breakfast menu is spectacular but the buffet breakfast (when they are full) is only average. Press them...

Staying here is like leaving the real world behind, we were treated like royalty and no tasks was too much trouble, mind you, you do pay for it!! The rooms are beautiful set in an immaculate rain forest, the pool is to die for and the restaurant food and setting is not to be missed ( but again you will...

My boyfriend and I stayed at this romantic lodge and it's absolutely 5 star! The staff and service exceeded our expectations, treating us like royalty! They are helpful, friendly and informative but not overbearing. The setting is simply incredible - literally set in the rainforest and on a running stream with boulders and a beautiful sandy beach area. The food...

My husband and I came here in late March to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary, and we loved this resort so much that I felt compelled to write a review. The setting is unbeatable - it's literally in the middle of the rainforest with a beautiful lagoon, ferns, walking tracks and some of the most picturesque nature that you...

So I asked reception if I could stay...forever...clearly there was a financial cost involved -unfortunately we are returning home tomorrow after 5 days stay..my partner not willing to maintain this feeling of peace and well-being I have experienced for the first time in 5 years. If you are working 365 days a year 24/7 and have lost your work-life balance..this...

We recently stayed at Silky Oaks Lodge and I cannot rate it highly enough! The accommodations were amazing and extremely comfortable. We didn't know what to expect from a 'tree house' - but it was 5* luxury all the way. Our package included several side trips, a gourmet packed lunch for a hike, a spa treatment and breakfast and dinner....

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Everything is just fabulous. We stayed in one of the smaller tree houses - a beautiful self contained cabin with a balcony (complete with hamock!) and a magnificent bathroom (complete with super powered javuzzi!). When we arrived there was a bottle of bubbly on ice waiting for us and a little welcome note -...
