We go back when we are yearning for cool, misty, quiet, beautiful pampering. The cottage is roomy and cosy, and made for comfort. David and Anne are incredibly generous with their time, thoughtfulness and home-cooked bread! The cottage takes care of you. I have never been able to think of one thing to add to the cottage that Anne and... More

Neil and I had the most relaxing time in this little piece of paradise. David & Anne were very accommodating in every way and we were overwhelmed at all the extra little things they did and left for us to enjoy. There are lots of little places to visit or just sit and relax by the pond with a book... More

The Pond Cottage is a peaceful tranquil place with lots of birdsong in the forest. It is completely private being some distance away from the owner's house and surrounded by forest. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable but nothing is new! We enjoyed the night there but thought the price was a bit high for the quality of the... More

Thank you Derek for your review. I am surprised by your comments as in our guest book you/Pippa wrote..."Beautiful peaceful place. Best equipped cottage ever. Thanks". Sorry you were disappointed that "nothing is new". We must try harder! More

Unfortunately the weather was wet during the whole of our stay, but despite that we had a wonderful time. The cottage was spacious yet cosy. There was a wood burning stove for when the temperature dropped. Ann and David were exceptional hosts, providing a warm welcome and delivering a hot, freshly baked loaf every day along with delicious pancakes, croissants... More

This is a wonderful spot to come back to after a long day travelling. The hosts, David and Ann are friendly and welcoming and really know how to provide a well equipped and comfortable cottage. Their breakfast provisions are way too much for two people and yummy- home made bread, croissants or muffins, fruit salad, yoghurt and they have an... More

Stayed with my wife for 2 nights in mid August. David and Ann are charming hosts and full of interesting stories. The ample supplies are tasty and fresh. The cabin is quite spacious with all the modcons. The surrounds are lush and tranquil and overlook a beautiful pond with ducks, turtles and platypus. My favourite pastime was sitting in the... More

We always feel so relaxed when we return from pond cottage. We can see turtles and platypus in the pond,as well as the ducks and peacocks walking around. And the general bird life is amazing. This time we enjoyed a real log fire and warm spa. Lovely hosts Anne and David provide welcome drinks and a generous breakfast basket. Very enjoyable... More

Probably our single favorite spot in Australia. Lovely spacious room, great food, in beautiful forest and your own private platypus. Doesn't get better than that. Hosts overwhelmed us with fresh bread and croissants. Not modern but like our family lake cabin years ago. Very comfortable. Area full of birds and mammals. Arrange a night mammal spotting tour with local guide... More

The noise of the bamboo swaying in the wind. That’s about as noisy as it gets. Lovely self-contained accommodation in a very private setting. Great friendly hosts that deliver a huge breakfast hamper complete with freshly baked bread. In fact on the first night our dinner plans changed when the bread arrived. It was just too tempting, so that was... More
