This property is very isolated and remote with absolutely nothing around it expect barren landscape. The property was therefore a surprise as it was very well fitted out and contained a number of luxury features. It is 25 km form Streaky Bay with is the closest town for supplies for restaurants. Would I stay there again, no, too isolated. No WiFi or internet or mobile service.
When Trudy messages you ahead of your stay, she welcomes you to her beautiful part of the world. When we got here, we could see that she wasn’t wrong. This might just be one of the most peaceful places I’ve seen in Australia. The room itself was immaculate, and you can see the owners personality shine through. Plenty of living space, extremely comfortable bed and sheets and enough kitchen space for a home made carbonara, perfect to eat with a beverage on the semi private deck. The bathroom is wonderful, a nice big bath overlooking the bay and shower to match. We booked this stopover on our journey to swim with the sea lions which meant quite an early leave time, and we are full of regret that we didn’t stay here longer!
Loved our 3days at Perlubie Sea - such a delight to enjoy a small space so creatively & beautifully designed & arranged with funky upcycled arty furnishings & fittings. We chose the sparkling wine in boozy bfast basket & were well rewarded with an Adelaide Hills ‘Tomich’ - a new winery for us Queenslanders. An added delight was the bath (+ candles, bath salts, moisturiser etc), the bath robes & oh so comfy bed! When the kitchen produced a salad spinner & sharp knives I was made!! If you want the best oyster experience, ask Trudy for SA Premium’s contact details in Smoky Bay. Thanks Trudy!
Wow amazing place and beautiful location. The host has thought of everything. The most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Great breakfast with plenty to choose from. Thank you we enjoyed our time here.
A 15 min drive from Streaky Bay we stayed here for one night in between our Head of the Bight and Port Lincoln stays. We had the black villa and for a couple there is enough room but there is not really a lot of living area. The couple staying next door in the white villa brought their 2 small dogs with them and pets are welcome which is a nice change from many other higher end stays. The décor is very stylish and the use of recyclable and eco friendly products was welcome. Cooking facilities inside are quite limited so I would have a good lunch out and just have a nice (wine) relaxed dinner watching the sunset from your villa at night. There is an outside BBQ if you do want to cook something yourself.
