This former Super 8 motel is now the Beachwood Inn. The rebranding did not appear to add value or quality. This is a truly tired property, much in need of a major refresh. It's only competitive value is that it is the least expensive hotel/motel that is adjacent to a number of upscale office parks in Beachwood, Oh.
For business travel, this place is terrible. Power sockets for computers and phones are behind the dated furniture. The power sockets themselves in my room (#172) looked as if they might be easily pulled from the wall when unplugging a phone cord or computer power cable.
RECOMMENATION: spend the extra $10 and select some of the other lower cost hotels on the same street.

This Super 8's location is perfect for me. Easy access to I 271, affordable and the choice of smoking. Near great food (Corky & Lenny's Deli) and bars (Bahama Breeze).

In fact, it's perfectly fine! A bunch of snobs must've written all of these negative reviews because we've been here for a few days already (and will be here 9 days in total) and it's literally met all our motel needs - of course, it's a Super 8 so you can't expect Marriott-type decor or service, but it's not nearly as "filthy" as people here are saying - and there haven't been ANY bugs at ALL (other than the sweet chirp of cicadas throughout the evenings in the trees behind the building...) - no bedbugs, no cockroaches, nothing of the sort. When we first arrived they *did* have us booked in a smoking room (which was our fault since we'd forgot to request non-smoking) so we had to switch rooms but other than that everything's been perfect. The staff are friendly and personable, there's a decent free breakie in the morning (from 6am 'til 9) serving cereal, bagels and cream cheese, english muffins, danish, juice and coffee... there's free coffee in the lobby throughout the day, free newspapers daily, cable to channel 74 including HBO, free wifi throughout the motel, a coin-operated washer and dryer available for use just off the lobby, a pool that some children have really been enjoying, the bed is super comfy, sheets and blankets are clean and just fine, it's been nice and quiet and perfect with wonderfully working cool AC - given the reviews here I was literally *terrified* to check in to this place but we didn't have a choice since we'd booked it through Hotwire - but really, it's been more fine - it's actually been really, really nice. And my partner's recovering from surgery so the big soft reclining chair has come in handy! Also, we needed a few extra pillows and sheets and they hooked us up right away! Again, it's not a Hilton or Marriott hotel but it's a perfectly FINE motel in a safe neighbourhood and is serving us well during our stay. And hey, it was cheap! Much cheaper than the more expensive hotels in the area. I highly recommend this Motel :-)

This hotel was very dirty. They had cleaned the rooms but the bathroom floor was filthy and disgusting. The room was supposed to be a non-smoking room but it had a very strong cigarette odor. I recommend you stay any place but this hotel.

Got a great deal on this hotel for $49/night but you truly get what you pay for. There were no rooms left on the top floor so I had a room on the ground floor with an exterior corridor (not the safest feeling for a woman travelling alone). I also asked for a quiet room as I was here on business. The first night I had to listen to a party next door til 4 am (it was family reunion). Finally at 3:30 a.m. called front desk to ask them to intervene. I turned on the loud fan in my room to finally drown out the noise and went to sleep. Bed was uncomfortable and sheets felt like sandpaper. Cleaner/Maid took my phone jack for my cell phone and front desk did not even apologize or follow up with me. I would never stay here again.

Will NEVER stay here again, BED BUGS, dirty and rundown, window cracked in guest room, place was nothing like the last time we stayed here, not a good feeling, desk did not dispute the bed bug claim,did not want to refund my money, saying he had to wait on the manager, who wouldn't be in until the next day, advised him to issue my refund, since I checked in and out in less than an hour. NEVER AGAIN !!! Dump.

Room smelled like mildew and the rooms were cheap looking and we didn't even stay 5 minutes we left I asked for non smoking room and he smelled like smoke. normally I don't stay at motels because they are cheap next I will pay for a better hotel. and for this to be in a nice area of the city they should put more money and work into the hotels never again. I would like to get my money back because I didn't even stay. nasty nasty nasty .... even the staff was bad , don't waste your money or time

I made a reservation online for one night thought it was a good rate. I drove 8 hours to the motel. I was exhausted took a nap then woke up to pubic hair in the sink, toothpaste in the sink. Blood on pillowcases. I called front desk all they said is that the management could refund my money they could not. They made a note of it never offered to switch rooms at all. So the next morning at 8am I went to the front desk discussed the matter with them. They never refunded my money. They said they would give me a 20% discount but they charged my credit card the full amount. There was also no coffee so I say why stay at a place like that. The reason I stayed at super 8 vs. Motel 6 is I had another 8 hours to drive home and I wanted a place where I could get breakfast. That didnt happen. I think this is poor service. I will never stay at a super 8 on the east coast ever again. CA super 8 is not like this at all.

I was traveling with my mom and 4 kids. We had made reservations for 2 nights here because of the Wyndham Reward Program. The room was VERY small and the lock/handle didn't work properly. I went to our vehicle to get something at 1:30 in the morning and there was a gang fight in the parking lot. NOT impressed and did NOT feel safe. We checked out first thing in the morning and went to another place. Would NEVER recommend anyone to stay here! When we complained about the fight the next morning, the woman at the front desk didn't really act like she cared. She asked if we would be checking out. Umm, YESSS!!!!!

Guest checked out due to a disturbance in the parking lot. Another room was having a birthday party that ended up being a little late and a argument broke out. So guest's daughter who was at least 21 plus was a little scared when they were located in a completely different building. This property has ground level rooms with outside access to rooms so we can not control the ins and outs of guests. Did apologize to guest upon checkout. Sometimes a birthday party can get out of hand but for the most part its just people having a little fun.

We had an emergency with our daughter in a local college and had to drive 12 hrs. to get there! Super 8 was nearby...little did we know..it would be the worst night of our lives.
The first room's smoke alarm kept going on (the management ripped it out of the wall) and then offered us another room that smelled like smoke (it was non-smoking room)
Finally, the 3rd room offered to us seemed okay...we were exhausted. At 2:30 AM my husband's work cell phone rang. When he turned on the light...I was shocked to see....yes, you guessed...Bed Bugs! We immediately called the desk and took some to the management. We left immediately after putting all all belongings in plastic bags.
I can't imagine how this place stay s in business.... They did refund our money...Luckily, none of the little creatures came home with us. We were very careful about that. I've had nightmares about the night from hell!
