Stayed here for one night on our way back east. Just what was expected from this chain. Clean, friendly staff, easy check-in/check-out, good breakfast, and comfortable room/bed. Close to Cleveland with lots of restaurant choices nearby. Will stay here again if in the area.

My experience was like some others, it is not a new feeling hotel, but for the most part still very good value.They have done some renovations lobby was pretty good, the breakfast was good.The one area I thought they were exceptional was the staff, the front desk people were very nice, the breakfast staff gave attention to the food quality. Here is where they missed on clean feel.The shower caulk was brown, the chair in the room needs to be replaced, the room was clean, they just need to hit points that matter.

Its an interesting property because its a clarion in the front and the back was renovated into a Hotel Indigo. They are not connected inside. There is a restaurant attached but not connected. Looks like at one time there was an outdoor pool but its been filled in and now a 'dog park.' The desk clerk was very stoned when I arrived (sat night at 9) but friendly and polite. The elevator was sort of broken the door didn't open on the second floor without pushing the open button. The hallways were dark and smokey but the room was fine, a very average quality inn type room, no mini fridge but beds were fine, sheets clean. Good hot shower. Someones hair braid left on top of the lamp. Nothing really wrong with the hotel, but it was a $70 property that they are charging $100 for. I'd say if you get this place between 70-80 thats fine but at 100+ its significantly overpriced for the quality.

We travel quite a bit and have been disappointed but this is the first negative review I have written. Hopefully it helps another travel have a more pleasant nights sleep. Our stay started with keys that didn't work . We went down to the front desk and the room keys were reprogrammed twice and still did not work. We already were exhausted and going back to the front desk multiple times was quite frustrating. On the 3rd time back down we were placed in another room. As soon as we walked down the hallway it reeked heavily of smoke. Our room smelled of smoke and was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in! The toilet was dirty with fecal matter on the wall. The shower had pubic hair in it and the carpet by the bed had blood on it. There were stains on the sheets and we should have left but we were just too excited. The next morning we woke up early and could not wait to get out of there. The ice machine did not work. It did have a hot breakfast which had a lot to offer, but it was gross. The eggs were ice cold, coffee pot and other food was empty. I told the front staff about the state of our room and she wrote the information down and said she would pass it on to the manager. I told her that I have pictures but she didn't want to see them. I never was contacted by management, I would think that they would want to see the pictures. This must be their normal as they did not put any effort into correcting the problem. I usually stay at Choice Hotels out of habit but this experience is making me rethink where to spend my travel money. Save yours and book anywhere else, you would honestly be happier sleeping in your car

We checked in and were given the key cards but when we opened the door, there was a couple inside the room and they just froze and so did we! The desk had given out 2 sets of room keys to both us and another couple! If that wasn’t enough, the shower water backed up in the tub and the place was just dingy! We slept there one night and moved around the block to a MUCH nicer hotel and on our way out of the Clarion, we met another couple complaining about them giving them a room that was already occupied! We told them the same thing happened to us and we advised them to leave now! When I book now, I’m just making sure it’s not the Clarion. Oh and PLEASE, DO NOT EAT THE FOOD! There’s a Whole Foods, Corky and Lenny’s Deli (great corned beef & ruebens across the street!

This was our first visit. We spent three nights. We noticed the hotel needed to be updated. The 2nd floor hallway lights provided minimal lighting, the hallway carpeting was old, and our bathroom (room 242) was in need of repairs - shower ceiling spackling, grout, and bath mat cleaning The breakfast area was small- about eight (8) tables for two and a long table near the business center. The hot breakfast choices was standard. The TV audio was inconsistent. The 2nd floor ice machine didn't work during our stay even though I was told it would be addressed. Informed staff about the above problems including in a post stay survey. Assured problems would be addressed.

We did not stay as planned. This has never happened in all our travels to Ohio however the hotel room was in poor shape as well as out dated. Torn carpet, very small fridge, out of order safe for storing valuables. The room was not clean; dirty bed skirt and unacceptable conditions. Customer service deteriorated when room conditions were reported.

It's an alright hotel. About a 25 mins drive to downtown Cleveland. Check in was a breeze. The free breakfast was one of the best I've had in a while. The individual taking care of breakfast was amazing. Definitely makes sure the guests are taken care of. My only issue was our tub didn't drain and I asked the front desk 3 times to get this fixed with ZERO effort!

Their breakfast is average. Nothing special. Some hotels will have a few things different everyday, they didn't. But it's worth not having to pay for it.
I don't recall a Freshen Up sink in the room. I do recall having had a great stay at a great rate with friendly staff in a good safe and convenient location
There are more places to choose from in the Beachwood area.
