We stayed here on the first leg of a family camping trip. The biggest deal breaker was the toilets. They are basically glorified porta-potties and had tons of flies. My wife and daughter were not having it. Other than that it was okay for tent camping. The staff was nice. They have a good camp store. The mini golf would...

Spent Memorial Day weekend here. Nice big sites with lots of trees. Pets welcome including horses. Great lake for swimming, boating, and/or fishing. Cute little beach area as well. Would highly recommend this state park.

Barkcamp is a nice park with a decent lake. Large beach area and nice picnic area. Great parking and great campground. The campground doesn't have a pool. There is a shower house, but the toilets do not use running water so the privacy and smell aren't pleasant.

We asked for and got a nice quiet site (#125 up on a hill a bit away from the parking area). We had few neighbors. The park was not full for a Saturday night in August. The sites all appeared spacious. This was a one night only stop for us but there appeared to be a lot of amenities and...

My wife and I have taken our kids camping here the last two years. We have three young kids and this is an awesome park for families. We have stayed at the same campsite both times. The park is very clean and quiet. The only negative thing is the restrooms, but you are camping so it is not that big...

I just love Barkcamp State Park. Just a couple miles off Interstate 70. Charming, friendly staff and immaculate shower house. It was quiet at night with crickets and cicadas chirping. Other campers were so nice. I would go back in a heartbeat. Cost for a night's RV site $20. What a bargain!

We visited the Belmont area, and found the cabins at Barkcamp to be not only economical, but the facilities to be above average. Clean showers, nice staff, sufficient camp store, and even a minigolf course! Camp Store: Was in the process of restocking for the season, but had firewood, starters, bug spray, etc. at low prices. The lady behind the...

Stayed two nights this past weekend and the kids loved it! I ran in the 8 mile trail run race that was being held there and we made a family weekend of it. Gorgeous fall leave colors, many hiking trails we could get to from the campground, nice playground for the kids, not many campers this time of year, so...

I've been coming to barkcamp for awhile. I love it there :) We got there Friday night was yelled at the ranger pretty quickly for not having two of our wheels on the pavement. Went on a hike and other than some trees done from the storms it was very clear. Also Barkcamp is a very quiet place to stay...
