The facilities at Salt Fork are outstanding. Along with the lodge, our grandchildren really enjoyed the sandy beach. The water depth was shallow for a fairly long distance into the lake which was important for small children. The lodge and restaurant staff were friendly and treated us as valued guests. We had originally booked cabins, but changed to the lodge...

My family had an amazing time during our stay at the Lodge. We stayed in a double bunk room. It was clean and everything was in tip top shape. Our balcony overlooked the outside perimeter. We saw SO many deer come right up under our balcony. We loved watching them. People in rooms near ours threw them bread. The people...

The lake and park, golf course are amazing but the Xanterra group is running the place into the ground. We stayed in the lodge, way overpriced, bed and pillows are horrible and the cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. The park used to be an amazing place and is being ruined. Pool is fun but not open past 9....

Lodge has a lot to offer. Beds were not very comfortable. Outdoor pool is really nice. Lake is beautiful. We took our boat and was surprised that a large portion of lake is no wake. Restaurant on site had good food. Wish there was more food options here. Snack bar in afternoon only had bags of chips. Great place for...

We came to salt fork every year 1998 to 2005 at the lodge and at the cabin in 2007 We decided to come back in 2013 cabins were booked so we did two rooms as we had our 18 year old and 16 year old with us. Really disappointed in the way the place has gone. The mini golf is...

We were traveling and needed to find a hotel/motel between Pittsburgh, PA, and Columbus, OH. We were dodging some terrible storms (heavy rain, high wind), and wanted to hunker down for the night. We tried to get a room in Zanesville, OH, but they were either all booked, had bad reviews on TripAdvisor, or were only taking "walk-ins" (at the...

The rooms have not been redone since the seventies. The rooms were so dated and small. Sinks did not work well. Bathrooms were old. Rooms were outrageously expensive for what they were. The dining room probably had the worst food we have ever had. The people working there were nice and the lake was gorgeous but I would never stay...

We stayed a couple of nights at the lodge. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. The food in the resterraunt was good. My complaint is this. We had a AAA Gas and Go package and we chose the pontoon boat ride as an option. My wife who booked the trip was left with the impression that...

We stayed in a "pet-friendly" cottage at Salt Fork State Park in Cambridge Ohio in mid-June 2013. Although this facility is 20 years older than our favorite state park (Maumee Bay) everything was adequate and in fine working condition, especially the all important air-conditioner. The park is so huge, it certainly takes a car to get everywhere. We bought our...

The lodge is beautiful. Clean, quiet, and spacious. We had a great time. We swam, hiked and basically relaxed. Our room was perfect- the beds are so comfortable, and with Satellite TV there was always something on when we wanted to watch. It is a peaceful wooded setting and a great place to go whether you want to have an...
