The Marriot was in an excellent location and the valet was also excellent in taking care of my vehicle, taking and bringing it back. The lobby was beautiful, open and offered a bar with a nice variety of drinks and friendly bartenders. However, I waited 4 hours along with another gentleman for a clean room. The room was not the room I reserved weeks in advance and was rather small. They were stingy when it came to towels, wash clothes and trash bags. Regardless of the setbacks I would stay here again, but only as a second choice.

During one of the worst winter storms in Cleveland, this hotel was able to accommodate a last minute reservation. A stay at this Marriot turned a less than desirable day, into an Amazing night's stay.

While most of Cleveland, was closed, frustrated and understaffed due to weather, this hotel greeted me with a smile and warm welcome.

I was frantic as my car was stuck in unplowed snow. I attempted to catch the bus home, but was unsuccessful.

Not only did they accommodate me, they also made sure I received all available amenities such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, lavender pillow spray, make-up wipes, shower caps and moist towelettes.

Moreover, I was starving and their restaurant located in the lobby was preparing to close. Being in the service industry, I would have never asked them to prepare any food for me, as I assumed their kitchen had been cleaned for the evening. To my surprise, they heard about my situation and offered to make an order for me.

This gesture spoke volumes as I know their staff probably needed to get home in the storm as well. I knew this gesture was genuine and not forced as the chef personally delivered my food and asked if everything was to my liking.

There was also a fine dining restaurant, Il Venetian, located in this hotel that I stopped at to grab a quick drink before heading up to my room. Please try the Smokeshow, you won't regret it!

The room was immaculate, the view of the city alongside Lake Erie was phenomenal and the staff provided excellent customer service.

This hotel is really a one stop shop. There is a barber and hair salon located on the first floor and a beautiful ballroom connected.

This hotel has to be at the top of the brand!

I am a frequent traveler, who relies on hotels. Since the start of the pandemic, I haven't had many great experiences with other notable hotels. This hotel and it's amazing staff overly restored my faith in the industry.

An experience like this was well-overdue. I've never been more happy to be stuck in the snow, than I was last night.

Thanks Marriot! You earned my trust and I will definitely be back :-).

Let me start by saying this property is in a great location with plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. I used the Marriott Bonvoy app and my room and mobile key were ready and available well before check-in. I was appreciative that consideration was given to my floor preferences when assigning the room.

The common areas were modern clean, and spacious. The room was clean, what you would expect in terms of size, and the bed was comfortable. The room and furnishings were a bit dated, but signs were posted throughout the property promoting an upcoming renovation.

The property has an onsite spa and fitness center. All I can say is wow! The fitness center is one of the best I have seen at any hotel I have stayed in. There is a restaurant on site that looked very appealing, but I never got the chance to try it (next trip for sure). While the property has a bar/lounge I have to ask, whose bright idea was it to locate it right by the check-in stations? The noise of off the chart and it made communicating with the front desk staff challenging.

I did stop by the front desk to ask a couple of questions and make sure they had all they needed from my mobile check-in. I wish I could remember the lady's name because she was phenomenal. She was one of the friendliest and most helpful front desk staff members I have encountered in a while. She indeed represented both the property and the brand extremely well. I may not recall her name, but she was working the afternoon of March 11. Please pass on my thanks.

I would recommend this property and already plan on staying here again in early April!

The hotel is very nice. Beautiful lobby and there is a nice cafe where you can get a nice breakfast, although pricy. You can also get food at the bar. The salads and chicken wings are very good. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Parking garage is indoors and very convenient, however, the parking fee is $25 per day. The location is great. Walking distance to Rock &Roll Hall of Fame and other attractions. However, the room itself was not great. I had a room with 2 double beds, which were just full size mattresses. These beds were too small for 2 adults to sleep comfortably in a single bed. The bathroom was segmented into a closed off toilet and shower and the sink was located outside as part of the room. This is inconvenient if others are sleeping and you need to use the sink. The plumbing was also very noisy.

Stay Report - 9/28 to 9/29

Location: As the name implies the hotel is located at Key Tower.  It's in fact directly connected to it through the lobby.  It's about 10 minutes from Tower City with its RTD stop ($2.50 to the airport which is a great deal).  The area around the hotel seemed pretty quiet and safe to me.

Hotel: Very nice in the common areas.  A recently renovated lobby with a nice bar, M Club location in the lobby and no waits for elevators.  The hallways on the upper floors look fairly old though.  It's obviously an older property but at least there's been some renovation.  I'm not sure if they have self park but they definitely have valet.

Check In: Thanks to a flight delay I arrived after midnight.  I'd messaged the hotel through the app that I'd be late and when I arrived the agent said I had already been checked in and he handed me a key.  This was perfect.

Room: I'd paid extra for a corner room and if this is the size the corner rooms, I worry about the size of the smaller ones.  Not only that but it was really dated.  It felt in every way like a 1990s Marriott room.  On the plus side at least there were no issues with soundproofing or the Wifi and the views were great

M Club: The 24/7 lounge was a great feature.  I was able to get some snacks and sodas when I arrived and breakfast in the morning.  Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausages and potatoes plus cereal and pastries and fruit and yogurt.

Overall despite the aged rooms a good stay.  The service and the lounge make up for a lot.  I definitely preferred it to the Renaissance.

The hotel overall is very nice. A person can take a moderately long walk and get to the Cleveland Brown’s Stadium or the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There is underground parking, which is nice to avoid s ow building up and walking in the rain to get to your vehicle.

We stayed several nights and the only real issue we had was at check in and getting our room cleaned. When we checked in, the clerk did not program our room keys for the Bonvoy area, did not have any self parking tickets to give us, and failed to mention we had to request our room to be cleaned during our stay. Although the key programming and the parking ticket were fixed the next morning, we never had our room cleaned despite asking for via the “At your service” line on two consecutive days. Great services was definitely missing the mark.

I arrived late to the hotel, about 11:30pm on Friday 8/12. Two people were online in front of me and the man at the desk was also helping people on the phone so it took a bit to check in. Once I made it to the desk, Devin, apologized for the delay. It is not his fault they are understaffed. Devin was super friendly, professional and courteous. He thanked me for being a Titanium Elite member. He looked up my room (2 doubles) and said it was weird that it was marked dirty. So he asked me about my room preference and I told him that I could live with a King room if they had a roll away. He apologized that there was a room problem but said a rollaway would be brought up to the room within a half an hour because they were short staffed. He also informed me that the M Club lounge is open 24/7, but breakfast would not be served over the weekend because they were short staffed. He booked me into room 2410.

So I got up to the room which was a decent size and clean. Went to turn on the tv but no picture. I fiddled with the wires a bit and got it to turn on.

So after an hour of waiting in the room with no rollaway bed, I attempted to call the front desk but there was no answer. I went back down to the lobby and spoke with Devin again who called for the rollaway again. He again apologized, but it was not his fault. He was awesome. He is hard working. I asked if I could speak with the manager on duty because I wanted to praise him, but he said it was not necessary.

After another 30 minutes the rollaway showed up. Now it is 1:00am. This took way to long in my opinion.

Saturday, the 24/7 M Club was closed. Very annoying. All I really wanted was some hot water to make some tea, but no access. I could have asked the people at the restaurant for hot water, but they were very busy.

Please promote Devin, he is a great employee. Hire enough people to have the services that are offered.

Marriott, it is time to step up your game. My friends stayed at the Drury across the plaza and they have everything they offered! I have been at a number of Hiltons and they manage to get it done. Marriott’s quality is waning!

A disappointing Marriott. The pillows are some kind of hard, synthetic foam. I slept horribly. The shower didn't drain, as you can see in the photo. Breakfast service doesn't start until 7 am, and the waitress at breakfast was surly. I won't return.

The location is great, especially if you're visiting the football stadium, the lakefront, or of course the Key Bank building. But that doesn't make up for poor facilities.

The Cleveland Marriott Hotel is centrally located in Cleveland just off of Public Square, so it's pretty much an ideal location for downtown, the convention center, and is within walking distance of the Rock Hall and other downtown locations.

The lobby is classy and modern.

I liked all of this, but the room was not quite up to the rest of the experience. It was comfortable, but I think it's time for some updates. I could hear noise in the hall, and the electronics did not seem up to par with the newest business hotels.

All in all, this is a very good hotel and is convenient to a lot in downtown, but I was hoping for a little more in terms of the actual room.

We chose this hotel for one reason, it's proximity to the Rock Hall. It is a typical big city hotel with large lobby, several restaurants (which we avoid with a passion in favor of local spots). The staff from valets to desk people in were very courteous and helpful.
The stay was nice, we had a corner room with 5 large windows, but too low to take advantage of the view of the lake. The bed was comfortable, but a room for two should have 2 chairs rather than having to sit in a desk chair or the bed.
My wife has some mobility issues and the walk from the front to the elevator is about a half a block long. Also, the AC was okay, but nothing to write home about. Finally, the bathroom toilet was the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel, looked like a child's model and as usually the toilet paper is industrial cheap ply (we've learned to pack your own favorite and avoid the frustration).
The verdict, we were on a 10 day road trip and stay exclusively in Marriott properties, there were Fairfields, and if we return we will ask for an upper floor room with a lake view.
