Nestled in a prime downtown spot, the Hyatt Regency Cleveland at The Arcade is often lauded for its cleanliness and historic charm, especially during the holiday season. While the location is a hit for its walkability to nearby attractions, guests have called out the pricey parking.
Opinions on the rooms and service vary, with some appreciating the space and friendly staff, but others point to noise issues and lackluster service. The consensus among many travelers is that the hotel's value proposition is diminished by additional costs and missing amenities.

Detailed Reviews
I have stayed at Hyatts in Pittsburgh and Buffalo. I don’t mind paying a small premium for cleanliness and a great free breakfast but put simply the Arcade is priced significantly higher and expect to pay $50 to park (valet or self park) since the location is a downtown urban location). I unfortunately will not stay at the Arcade again since the value isn’t there (although the architecture of the hotel itself is phenomenal).

Overall was a good stay. My room was clean, nice and spacious. I was arcade facing, the arcade was very cute. The hotel was a unique look. The door lock situation was weird, there were 2 locks outside of the main lock, a flip over and the chain lock, the flip over didn't work at all, and the chain did work. Walls were thin and I could hear my neighbors quite a bit. There was a little hallway noise but not too bad because the way my room was set up the bed area was in the back space had door separating that and the living room (which is where the main hall was). That also brings me to house keeping. When I checked in online it said that because I was only staying two nights I wouldn't have housekeeping but to contact the front desk if I need anything. To my surprise housekeeping stopped by and knocked on the door repeatedly at 9:45 asking if I needed anything. This isn't a bad thing but I didn't realize they were coming and because like I said a door separated the "bedroom" I didn't really hear them or recognize they were coming to my room. was a convenient location and valet is the only option unless you want to park at a non-affiliated lot and drag your stuff. It was $48 per night, and there are in and out privileges but everything I needed to get to was in less that a mile walking distance. This was a point stay for me so I'm not sure if I would stay again for the cash price (plus valet) but I wouldn't hesitate on points

In May 2024, my husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Cleveland, located within The Arcade. Esteemed for its grand opening in 1890, this structure holds the distinction of being America’s inaugural indoor shopping mall. Today, its former retail spaces have been transformed into guest rooms. This hotel is a truly remarkable example of Victorian architectural design. Adjacent to the hotel’s entrance, you’ll find a self-parking parking garage with affordable rates, providing a cost-effective alternative to the hotel’s valet service. Our selection was a room overlooking the arcade, which was quite pleasant, although the nighttime light did filter in through the wooden blinds. Should this be a concern for you, consider requesting a room in a different location. Our experience at the hotel was delightful.

My stay at the Hyatt Regency Cleveland was deeply disappointing. From a lengthy and disorganized check-in process to unprofessional staff, the service left much to be desired. The rooms were outdated, poorly maintained, and unclean, with shabby linens and a persistent mildew smell. The Wi-Fi was virtually non-existent, disrupting my work, and the onsite restaurant served bland, overpriced food. Housekeeping was subpar, often neglecting to clean the room thoroughly. Despite its prime location, the constant noise and traffic disturbances made the stay unbearable. I strongly recommend prospective visitors to consider other options. This establishment falls well below the Hyatt brand's standards.
TLDR:
Overpriced with no amenties whatsoever.
It takes valet parking 20 minutes to get your car. What? It's easier and cheaper to just park next door.
The staff made us stay right next to the elevator. It managed to keep us awake all night.

Unfriendly, unhelpful staff immediately upon arrival at the front door. (we should have left then) Then the front desk booked us into the incorrect room so we had to drag luggage up/down stairs, then back up to the correct room. I think someone could have offered to help? The body wash dispenser was empty in the shower and there was a used bar of soap from a past guest in the shower. The TV did not receive any channels, local or otherwise. The AC would not cool the room below 73/74 degrees. Location is the only thing going for this Hyatt Regency!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Hyatt Regency Cleveland. We're genuinely sorry to hear about your inconveniences during your stay with us. Unfortunately, your experience did not match our intention of providing an exceptional experience to all our guests. I sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding the room assignment, which led to the unnecessary stress and hassle of moving your luggage. We aim for a smoother process; regrettably, we missed that with you. Also, your comment about our staff's behavior is concerning, as we aim to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. We will ensure your feedback is shared with our team to improve our service. Regarding the cleanliness and amenity issues in the room, including the empty body wash dispenser, used bar of soap, and malfunctioning TV and AC, please accept our sincere apologies. Our housekeeping and maintenance teams have been notified of these issues to address them immediately. While it's good to know that our location was favorable for you, we're disheartened to learn that this was the only positive aspect of your stay. We hope you'll allow us to turn your experience around during your next visit to Cleveland. Our team will do everything possible to ensure your future stay is comfortable, enjoyable, and meets all your expectations.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The high ceilings and large windows in the room had old world charm with modern conveniences. Great mattress and 4 pillows per bed resulted in excellent sleep. The Arcade is lovely especially at night.
The french toast with pecan butter, mixed berries and Ohio syrup from the on-site 1890 restaurant is fantastic and worth a trip back just for it. Cannot say enough about the staff we encountered 3/18-3/19. There is a parking garage right next to the hotel but if it's cold and windy, valet parking would be wise. In lieu of a taxi hub/line near the hotel and the cost of taxi services, most guests use Uber and Lyft. Will definitely stay there again!

The hotel is part of the historical Arcade. The rooms actually had some original brass finishings and the door to our room (foyer room) had the original brass mail slot. It's so cool. The room was huge! Plenty of space plus the bonus foyer type room prior to the sleeping room. Very solid wood heavy door between the two rooms so it's quiet in our sleeping room when there is noise out in the Arcade space outside our room. Just a great hotel! Get the parking next door. It was only $32 for 29 hours of parking compared to the $42 for valet for one day and having to wait for your car. The parking garage is literally next door to the hotel.

This place looks cool in photographs - save yourself and just look at them. Don't waste your time, money or comfort staying here. Showers do not have hot - nay, even lukewarm - water or pressure. Kind of a must have for a hotel stay unless you like polar plunges? The haphazard switch out between guests resulted in one of the double beds having wrinkled sheets, crumbs, and woman's perfume scent in it... clear sign it wasn't cleaned between guests. Gross. If you value a clean room and taking a shower longer for 30 seconds, would recommend you choose another hotel in Cleveland to stay at.

We deeply appreciate you sharing your honest feedback with us so that we can make every effort to improve our levels of quality and service. We certainly take a great deal of pride in offering a clean and comfortable stay in addition to offering excellence in service, and I am embarrassed to hear that this was not the case during your stay. I hope that we can host you again if your travels bring you back to Cleveland so that we can show you a true Hyatt experience!

We had a family trip to Cleveland over spring break to visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Pro Football Hall of Fame, Fannie May candy factory. We had 2 adjoining rooms which were wonderful. The hotel is gorgeous, the rooms are very nice, and the beds were great. I am not usually a good hotel sleeper but I slept sound. The hand lotion in the bathroom smells wonderful. The desk staff was great. We had a small glitch with our door which was addressed immediately by the front desk staff and they followed up with me via email later in the day, as promised. We did the valet parking is expensive @ $42/day. and the service is standard. Some valets were better than others but overall not bad. Buy your own bottled water, the ones in the lobby are very very pricey - approx $4.50 a bottle.

First off let's talk about the architecture of the Arcade, it's as gorgeous as everyone says it is. So gorgeous I'm not posting pics because it wouldn't do it justice. There's a reason they host so many weddings and events. The location is right in downtown Cleveland and walking distance the Guardians, Browns, and Cavs stadium, not too mention the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. There are plenty of late night options for food after a night game or visiting the area. I am vegan and there were plenty of options as well. There is a fantastic coffee shop (Rising Star) located in the arcade to help you start off your morning right. The gorgeous Cleveland Public Library is across the street as well. It's a Hyatt Regency so it comes standard with all the amenities you'd expect. There is a bar/lounge which serves food till 10pm every night. Breakfast is also served in the hotel restaurant.
We stayed there for 4 nights in the far tower and barely heard any room noise, slept wonderfully the entire stay. The staff go above and beyond, in particular Rebecca, Gary, and Sylvia who were friendly and helpful during all our interactions. Housekeeping staff kept our room immaculate and refilled any toiletries we ran out of. During late hours the hotel is only entered via room key so you can feel safe returning to your room or even hanging out in the arcade if you don't want to wake others in your room. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, truly a downtown gem!
