We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful on a rainy weekend. We used valet parking and never had a long wait for our vehicle. The attendants were very pleasant. A special thank you to Shawnlae who checked us in and gave us an upgrade to a suite Another thank you to the very charming and personable Mr. Alese who helped with everything including recommendations for the area. We had a very nice dinner at the hotel with a very friendly staff. It was a lovely visit and Cleveland has a lot to offer.

If I could give a rating higher than 10, I would! The Crowne Plaza staff were awesome, Tiffany, Crystal, Mr. Alex and Tomiko were more than accommodating and friendly with me. I was warmly greeted every time I was seen in the lobby and they asked me how my day or evening was. We had several conversations and laughs while I was there. I feel as if I made new friends, I sure hope they're still working there when I return to Cleveland! I miss you all! Plus, the room was spotless (which is important), the location was smack in the middle of the Playhouse Square district and so walking to great restaurants and cool destinations was a breeze. Undoubtedly I'll stay there again, it was wonderful! Please tell Tiffany, Mr. Alex, Crystal and Tomiko that Rich from Rochester says hello!

Good location right on the main street in the Playhouse Square and easy walking distance to downtown. Valet parking was I think $37, however if you are staying over the weekend, parking is free on meters on the surrounding streets from 6PM Friday till Monday morning. Room was renovated and we got upgraded to a family suite with bunk beds for kids that also had a separate playtable and a second TV. There was microwave and coffee machine in the room, however a fridge was missing for some reason, despite the fact that there was a cabinet designed for it.

How can a hotel screw up a $12.99 breakfast buffet so badly? Cold and tasteless food. Fortunately, the location is great, and there is a busy breakfast diner next door. Room service dishes were left in the hallway for more than a day. Kleenex stayed on the floor near the elevator for days. Daily room cleaning was not provided because of COVID, so we had to ask for extra shampoo and towels. The room did not have a safe for jewelry or electronics. The room was old and outdated, but clean enough--adequate.

With the forced valet parking we paid $260 for one night. There was no freakin fridge in the room so couldn’t store our leftovers from the incredibly overpriced meal we paid for at the restaurant there. Drinks were insanely priced as well...$40 for two mixed drinks and two shots of patrone. No vending machines on any floor,’instead just the little “sundries” area right by the front desk. Only offered 4 different candies, no chips or anything else.

Dear august6207, I want to thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay with the Crowne Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square. I would like to express my sincerest apologies for the issues you encountered during your stay with us. I would like to address the valet issue first. We offer valet to our guests at a very competitive price for the downtown area to make it convenient for our guests not to have to search for a random lot, and our valet includes in and out privileges to make it easy to get in and out. The other lot's do not include in and out privileges but our guests are welcome to park on their own if they choose to not use the valet. Refrigerators are available to our guests if requested, unfortunately all of our rooms are not standard with them in them. We would have been happy to bring one to your room for you. Our sundries shop has a variety of selections from drinks, chips, to candy bars, to snack bars, and even salads and sandwiches. I apologize if this was not the issue during your stay and will pass your comments on to the proper management team. Thank you again for all of your feedback and we hope you will reconsider and give us another chance. Sincerely, B.Kubik

We booked the theater package which included the room, one appetizer and two specialty drinks. The price was very reasonable. The location was perfect for the theater district. Yes, parking was pricey, ($34/night) but for valet with unlimited in and out privileges, it was fine. The room was well appointed. The amenities were nice. Thank you for staying with the individually packaged soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I know it's not considered environmentally correct, but I prefer it. The only negative is that the walls are not well insulated for sound. The people in the room next to us were having a conversation and we could hear them, not what they were saying, but you could hear them talking. We noticed on our way back from the play, that as we walked down the hall way to our room, you could hear conversations coming from the rooms all the way down the hall. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would consider staying here again in the future.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza on business. It is a nice hotel and the rooms are comfortable. However, I was appalled at the lack of COVID protocols in the hotel, considering the level of virus circulating in Ohio. None of the above claims about masks being required for guests or staff is correct. I may have seen 1 or 2 staff members wearing masks, and in the 3 weeks I was there I wasn't about to have someone enter my room to clean it without a mask on. Other than that my stay was fine, but I will reconsider staying here the next time I'm in Cleveland because of the management's obvious indifference to the safety of their guests.

Dear 106philm, Thank you so much for reviewing your stay at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square. I can assure you that we are following our states guidelines plus some when it comes to COVID safety here at the hotel. We have left up the barriers at the front desk, we still have sanitizer located at all high traffic areas, our employees who have not been vaccinated are wearing masks, and we are not doing in room housekeeping service unless you have stayed 5 nights plus. I will have our management team look into updating the Tripadvisor details for the hotel, to reflect the guidelines we are following. I would like to thank you so much for letting us know the information on the details of the hotel is inaccurate, so we can correct this issue. We do hope you will reconsider staying with us again in the future!

I'll start with the two things I didn't like about this hotel. One, parking. Valet is $37/night, which I suppose is reasonable, but as someone who's never used valet parking before - because I've always stayed in suburban hotels with free parking lots - it wasn't the most welcome extra expense. Moreover, they only had one person working valet at a time, which was frustrating as it sometimes led to long waits to have my car retrieved.

Second, I was surprised when I got to my room (a Worklife "suite," which was really not a suite) that it didn't have a fridge and microwave. However, when I asked the next day to be moved to a room that did, the front desk staff offered to have one put in my room, which was perfect. I just wish I'd known to request it in the reservation so my dinner that first night wouldn't have been cold.

That being said, there's a lot to like about the hotel. It's in a great location as far as I'm concerned, within walking distance (for me) of the Rock Hall and Science Center and a nice selection of restaurants. The front desk and housekeeping staff are fantastic - super nice and helpful. (The valet staff was more of a mixed bag.) I think the weekend prices were pretty ridiculous, but I stayed on weeknights for just under $90 + taxes per night, which was lower than I'd expect. And the bed itself was incredibly comfortable, one of the best I've slept on.

The hotel is walking distance to Progressive Field, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and various shops & restaurants. They offer valet parking, but we parked in a garage behind that hotel for a much lower cost.

We stayed on the 4th floor in a chandelier suite. The room was very spacious and we had a great view of Playhouse Square. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and a Keurig with decaf and regular coffee. There were plenty of outlets/usb ports near the nightstands. The hotel gym is also very nice with a lot of room and equipment.

We didn't realize that housekeeping only comes when requested, but it wasn't a big deal for us. We were staying 2 nights and I only needed additional sugar and creamer, which I got at the front desk.

Due to my fear of elevators, I always request a low floor and take the stairs to my room. Guest rooms start on the 4th floor. The stairs are a little out of the way, but one of the employees was nice enough to walk me to the door so that I knew where they were.

Only very minor complaints/room for improvement - The air conditioning wasn't great in the room. It was a very large room, so that probably has a lot to do with it. There was only 1 tiny garbage can in the whole room, which just seemed odd. There was only powder creamer for the coffee instead of liquid - just a personal preference.

Great location -centrally located and within walking distance to all sporting venues, the Rock HOF and the casino.
Upon check -in we were greeted by Amanda. She was very friendly, advised us since we were only there 2 days we would not have housekeeping, but to call if we needed anything. She also helped us with some restaurants in the area and gave us a printout of them with their addresses. We also met Kathy at the front desk and she was very nice.
We did need extra towels and coffee and when we called they were brought up within minutes.
We had a lake view room which was clean and stocked with all the necessities.
We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.
