Our rooms were clean and cozy with basic decor. The lodge is located in a beautiful setting with a wonderful view of Lake Erie. The buffet breakfast was fantastic--good food quality and tasty in a nice setting.
Got to spend it in the Cottages since the Lodge was maxed out and loved it! My only complaint was the lack of wine glasses ( and we are in the middle of wine country). Our package was wonderful with great entertainment by Nia Covington...More
The staff was wonderful. The hiking trail starts right out the back of the Lodge. The indoor pool is one of the larger pools for a hotel. The outside grounds are well kept and spacious. The Lodge borders Lake Erie.
A lovely stay. Beautiful view of the lake from the rooms. Also a very nice indoor pool and hot tub. My nieces enjoyed riding bikes along the lakes bike path. The waitress we had at Horizons was amazing.

There is a paved trail along the lake into Geneva State Park, past the Marina with boats and the beach. About 2.25 miles long with benches near The Lodge for catching the sunset over the lake. Easy and flat if you are thinking of riding bikes or hiking with little ones.
There are also unpaved gravel/wild trails throughout the park- 3 levels of difficulty from easy to hard, I believe. The front desk has a map to keep you on track! This summer The Lodge is adding a zipline Canopy Tour and Challenge Course for adults and one for kids, so that may be something exciting to do as well.
Also, (I love your name!) there is an Irish pub open on weekends in summer that is family friends and serves Irish food, even kid friendly dishes. Hope this helps!
