It has all the charm you could possibly wish for (yet, with more potential than currently utilised). The long-table dining experience is lovely - especially with the lit candelabra. Do remember to bring your own wine / spirits - as they have no alco license
We have loved the hotel from much earlier times. I booked the hotel and they charged me a hefty sum saying the hotel is renovated and that's why the price tag of almost Rs 11000 per room. Must say I was highly disappointed.

Calm surroundings which is quite soothing

There is a parking place at Dasturi Naka which is the last point where cars are allowed.
From here to Matheran one could take one of the following
2. Take the toy train
3. Horse Ride
4. Hand Pulled Rikshaw
