Matheran, the Mini Heaven and Lords Central Hotel at Matheran is an excellent experience. The owner family and their staff make you feel as if you are at your own Grandpa's Village House. Good tasty food with too good hospitality. Worth the money spent. We have visited the place for umpteen number of times and every time it is getting...

Our 5 year old daughter has celiac disease, and Zenobia and the kitchen did an amazing job catering to her dietary needs. Utmost care was taken to ensure no cross contamination occurred and that our daughter was provided with delicious food. Highly recommended to all on a gluten free diet, who want safe and delicious food. Thank you Zenobia!

We travelled to Matheran in the last week of Dec 2013. Peak season at matheran as it is a favourite with mumbaikars . We were a group of 4 aduts and 2 kids and reached there after travelling to Shirdi and Mumbai. Wanted a quiet and relaxing weekend to spend with family. Matheran was a great place to visit ....

Location is in the heart. Food is average though served in large quantities. It seems they are stuck in the old times, though it would help if cuisine could be made more contemporary and authentic. Service is good and the staff would help you though they are untrained. Summing up, it seems they are stuck in 60-70's though it is...

The hotel location is in heart of Matheran. There are 3-4 view points on walkable distance from Hotel. Lot of plantation around the rooms. The best part is the sitting verandah in front of all rooms and covered with glass. Means you get all views and also saves you from monkies. The hotel has one of the best sunrise view...

Went to this hotel after years. Place as beautiful as ever. Food is good. The rooms need an upgrade and better maintenance. A creaking bed and a rattling ceiling fan do not faciliatate a good nights sleep. The manager/owner was aloof and did not have the courtesy to smile or offer a greeting in passing. The rooms at the valley edge...

This is my first post on TripAdvisor and Ive decided to start with a review on my favourite hotel- Lords Central at Matheran. In October 2013, it was my third visit to the hotel in the past 7 years and it only gets better. If you are a person who loves the old world charm, good Parsi food, and warm...

Visted Matheran in May 2013..And it such a pleasant surprise in terms of the climate! Lords, Central is a warm place with great food (not an elaborate menu- just select food on the buffet but totaly delicious!!) It has T.T. and badminton..but the T.T. table is not all that inviting! The pool is good but I would say it could...

I adored Lord's for all its retro charm and quirkiness. The dining room and common areas reminded me of something from a 1950s British seaside resort, with badminton rackets and old calendars of cats as decoration. There were ancient box TVs every where you looked and signs telling you what time you could eat. The staff however were utterly charming...
