We stayed in this property for 4 night along with my parents. 1st night we were in the annex (convention center) which is not recommended for stay. After multiple request and raising the concern we managed to get 2 rooms in the Pinewood which were great. Colonial experience in the large rooms and the nature around made the next 3... More

The Pinewood property is a heritage property and is very well maintained. The rooms are elegant with fireplace and extremely clean. The food is good. and ambiance is beautiful. It is nice place to unwind. Away from the hustle of Police Bazaar, yet not too far from the hub. A leisurely walk will take right to the Ward's Lake.

Room compromised of 1 living room, 1 master bedroom, 1 dressing room, 1 washroom.... This was a British establishment which got turned into a hotel... Fireplaces are there in the room..... The banquet food, decorations... More

Old property once belonged to Ashoka Chain. Raj style wooden palace with wooden floor reminiscent of Old Raj Era. But needs makeover for sure. Restaurant provides good Indian and continental choice. Location is best in Shillong out of hastle and crowd. Visited the place in 2008.

The hotel has that European style infrastructure and the way they used to settle in hilly resorts. It is Meghalaya Tourism Corporation hotel and thus has a class of service. The food is also good and you must go their to enjoy the great stay
