The name Morgan House is rather strange considering it is a Government Tourism Dept-run place but there is an interesting story behind the name which is said to be attributed to the Morgans , a british couple who built the place ....and Mrs Morgan allegedly died of accidental circumstances leaving behind Mr Morgan . The WB Government tourism dept chose...

British colonial building made out of wood and stone. Converted into the perfect luxurious resort. I never imagined WBTDC being a Government owned organisation could maintain such a beautiful property. The rooms and garden gives a superb view of the Kanchenjunga on one side and the Army Golf Course on the another side. Food is not excellent but definitely good...

Unlike its more glamorous cousin with richer legacy beckoning hordes of tourists into its folds, Kalimpong sits rather forlorn with its old world charms on one side and a bustling commerce catering to the everyday needs of people from distant villages on another. As we had zeroed in on Kalimpong for our gateway to the eastern Himalayas, we became almost...

When we decided that we would like to visit Kalimpong we were told that you must stay at Morgan House. On looking up for Morgan House in the internet we were a little surprised and sceptical about staying there as it was a hotel of West Bengal Tourism. Sceptical , because we didn’t have a very good experience with the...

Room: 1st night we stayed in small double bed room (Room no 102), but 2nd night we we shifted to standard double bed room (Room no 103) as room is very small to accommodate with child. Location: Morgan...

One of the most aesthetically beautiful bungalow I have ever visited. Located far from the din and bustle of the main city Kalimpong, this Guest House can be booked through West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation located in Kolkata. The architecture of the guest house dates back to the typical colonial one. Wooden floor, stair case, large rooms, stone fireplace and...

Superb location, thrilling ambiance, superbly maintained rooms and above all the courteous and helpful staff ---- all will definitely make your stay an unforgettable one. The best part of this hotel is the chance you get to watch the sunrise at Kanchenjunga right from your room. [If...

This place should be in your agenda.try to get room no. 101. If not available get 103,104,105. 102 is really small room in the first floor. Only room 104 has a balcony. Others can use another common balcony. Room 106 is in ground floor. Cottage is must for new couples as it is isolated from main building. New 9 cottages...
