Absolutely stunning views from this very comfortable B&B, we felt so at home and it was a wonderfully quiet spot for us and our toddler son. We were provided with a nice spacious room, extremely clean and baby sorted too! The breakfast was perfect and the cookies after were a delightful treat for all 3 of us. I still can't get over the views from the breakfast table! We played ball out on the lawn over looking the peninsula and OH MY it was a view you could retake in with awe each time you looked at it. The service was above and beyond considering covid is still lurking and ruining interactions. The wonderful hosts took care of my awkward medications as they had to be stored in their fridge so I was back and forth to them for it daily. My 16 month old son was delighted when leaving as he was surprised with more treats and smiles from the wonderful hosts. Would have loved to have spent more time there but we will be back and hopefully covid restrictions will have eased some more by then.... won't stop us either way from another visit. Highly recommend this B&B 👌

Warm welcome. Room spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and delicious breakfast with an amazing view. Unfortunately the heating did not work in room and despite advising the hosts before we went out for the evening this was not fixed so we came back late to a very cold room. Did notice on arrival that the blinds where warped. And in the morning they were dripping with condensation so heating may have been an issue for awhile?

This was a reasonably priced b&b with comfy beds and a fabulous view but they have let themselves down with the small things. The cold tap in the bathroom was almost impossible to turn off and the hot became scalding hot in about two seconds. There were no side plates at breakfast so nothing to use for buttering your toast while you waited for your breakfast that had to be pre ordered the day before. The scrambled eggs were tasty but looked more like a broken up omelette, the salmon was cooked salmon instead of smoked ( my fault for assuming but I never thought you'd be served cooked salmon with scrambled eggs) and the full Irish was more of a half Irish. There were no cereals, no fruit, no yoghurts so it felt a little bit of a cheap way to serve breakfast even in these covid times. Tiny paper napkins too which looked terrible. This could be a fabulous place but more effort needs to go into looking after the guests.

Stayed here for one night this week. Such a beautiful location. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. It would certainly put a lot of hotels to shame. Our hosts were lovely and nothing was too much for them. We would definitely recommend Derrynane Bay House and we will certainly be back soon.

Derrynane Bay House is homely and welcoming, and overlooks a beautiful bay in Caherdaniel. The bedroom was spacious with pretty furnishings, and comfy bed! Monica and Donal were gracious hosts, who took the time to make us feel at home. Delicious breakfasts, try Monica's homemade wholemeal bread.

The hosts, Monica and Donal, are lovely people. We had a choice of rooms and chose the upstairs room with a magnificent view. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and quiet. The bed was very comfortable too! The private bathroom, also immaculately clean, had a great shower with excellent water pressure. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room was delicious. The house overlooks magnificent Derrynane Bay and is quiet and peaceful. Being just 1km from Caherdaniel, it is close to everything but far enough away to be away from the noise and traffic. This is the perfect spot on the Ring of Kerry to use as a base to see all that the region has to offer.

Stayed in this B&B with my boyfriend, my sister and her boyfriend for two nights in August. The setting for the house is great - spectacular views, easy walk into Caherdaniel village and easy to find but I found the overall atmosphere of the place miserly. At breakfast there were no cereals, juices, fruit or yogurt out as is normal with B&Bs. Tiny glass of orange juice with no opportunity to re-fill, I lost count of how many times I had to ask for toast with my fry and even at that when it did arrive there was hardly any and I had to start again, asking for more. The worst thing for me however, was that they actually charge extra for porridge. Extra for one of the cheapest cereals available in Ireland! A lovely setting but if you like a decent breakfast, stay elsewhere.

Oh and the tv in our room wasn't working and our ensuite wasn't an ensuite but rather adjacent to the room - not ideal!

After a long day's hike on the Kerry Way, we were rewarded with this beautiful home and warm accommodations. The Hunt's were gracious, rooms spotless and comfortable. Their view of Derrynane Bay is superb; overlooks a ring fort also. A delicious breakfast was served in the dining room overlooking the bay. A restful retreat!

After driving all day we were left speachless arriving in Derrynane Bay house. The view of Derrynane Bay was incredible and Monica and Donal were such lovely hosts and even made the dream of going to the Skelligs come true.
Derrynane Bay should definitely be visited and take enough time to stroll along the beautiful beaches and enjoy the view of the skelligs. The breakfast was really delicious (full Irish and pancakes with fresh fruits) and whenever we had a question or needed something was Monica right there to help us out, make some calls or give us good advice. Thanks again Monica and Donal! We loved spending time in your house and definitely want to come back!
