Just came back. Stayed from July 9 to 12. My single-room was faced the "wrong" way, and it was noisy due to either heating system or whatever from the roof. My co-traveller had a room facing the other way, and said it was silent.
This is the obvious place to stay in Longyearbyen. Nice bar. Excellent restaurant and a very very impressive wine/champagne cellar. It is affiliated with Spitsbergen Travel so you can easily book all your adventures and day activities in the front desk. Lovely staff in the...More
This hotel has excellent food, friendly and helpful staff and quiet rooms. In addition we saw both an arctic fox and several Svalbard reindeers from the hotel windows. We loved our stay at this hotel and hope to be back some day.
We spent two nights at this hotel, and enjoyed two breakfasts, one lunch and one dinner in the restaurant "Funksjonærmessen". The food was great, and the service during our dinner was excellent.
