Had a great stay in this hotel, it is in a remote location (artic area) so dont expect 5 star luxury as some guests may expect!! It is a good hotel to stay and explore Svalbard. To have as a base. It is a lovely hotel to stay, keep warm from the extreme cold. No problems sleeping, bed was very...

We enjoyed having you visit us, it's always great to hear such nice feedback about the country and it's community, as well as how comfortable you found the accommodation. We have recently refurbished and renovated so can guarantee absolute comfort in the midst of the harsh Arctic climate. Thomas

A very nice Hotel, with a lot to offer! They have a nice restaurant call Nansen, where they serve Arctic dishes like Svalbard Reindeer, Whale, and Seal! And the food they serve in a stylish way, is excellent! Compliment to the chef!! There are also a bar call Barentz, where you can imagine the huntsmen come in for a beer,...

I'm just finishing a five night stay at the Radisson Blu Polar hotel in Longyearbyen. The hotel is the main hotel on Svalbard and is close to the shops, restaurants and supermarket. The hotel has a small entranceway where everyone removes their boots, then a modest lobby area with a nice stuffed polar bear (one of many you will see...

You travel to the far north to experience some of the unique things the place has to offer, this simple seems to have been missed by the hotel staff. We stayed there for 4 days in Dec and arrived in the time of the year with 24 hrs darkness and hence prime for viewing the Northern Lights. There is a...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and your experience during the Christmas dinner. We regret to hear about the disappointing service when trying to book a tour to view the norther lights. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention and have shared your comments with hotel management...

Stayed for a week in a junior suite over New Year and, given the remote location, was very, very pleasantly surprised. Rooms spacious and clean, staff were lovely and super helpful. WiFi worked perfectly (which was a bonus we didn't expect). All the key excursions can be booked at reception and the staff will really go out of their way...

Being this remote to the mainland, I knew that I could not expect your ordinary hotel service but they surprised me. There are things that could have been better. For instance, you have to drag your luggage to a separate building in the snow if you are staying in a suite. There is no telephone in the hotel room. No...

We stayed at this hotel from December 30th 2016 until January 2nd 2017. We decided to splurge and booked a junior suite to have some more space. Check in was a bit chaotic mostly due to the fact that everyone arrived with the same airport express bus and the bus stopped right in front of the hotel. We checked in...

Thank you for taking the time to write such an extensive review of your impression during your recent stay. It is true that our suites are housed in an adjacent, recently renovated building which is clearly stated on our website and something which is common both to Svalbard and to other hotels. The distance is very short and we find...

Rooms were nice, but we got two single beds instead of a queen. The staff are all really nice and helpfull. We were disappointed about the food, twice in a row they had the same soup of the day, and the other options were only junk food. We were only able to eat at the bar as the restaurant was...

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your time here on Svalbard., always great to hear how people find how helpful our staff are. Twin beds that are joined together to form a double bed are quite common in Scandinavia rather than a stand-alone bed, this can always be arranged in advance. The soup of the day is...

Only 5Km from Longyearbyen airport. Shoes must be left in the entrance as usual in Svalbard. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Rooms not very big but warm, clean and cosy. Breakfast is excellent with lot of choices. Restaurant ( Julebord buffet) had plenty of cold, warm and dessert choices. I liked this hotel .
