I stayed with some friends on a short break recently. The cottage was a delight! It had a big living room with comfy sofas and a wood burning stove. Perfect for cosying up in after a day exploring Norfolk. The kitchen was well equipped and it was nice that there was a table to eat at. The view from the...

The Old Plough is immaculately clean and the rooms are tastefully decorated. The owners have got the balance spot-on by being friendly and a good source of local advice without being intrusive. We had great sleeps and the breakfasts set us up for the days. We would unhesitatingly recommend this place. Its site is within easy striking distance of the...

I stayed at Old Plough House in the December just gone, as I had promised my Mum I'd take her to the Thursford Christmas show. Despite never having heard of this event before, my Mum assured me it would be a lot of fun, and it was! Added to that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old Plough House, where...

If like us you are looking for a really well maintained and comfortable B & B look no further than The Old Plough House. We stayed in the Ochre Room which was very comfortable, clean and to a standard that would put most four star hotels to shame. The purpose of our stay was to visit the Thursford Christmas Festival...

We returned to the Old Plough House after I had made a solo trip 6 months ago and were not disappointed. The service, food, cleanliness and hosts were as impeccable as I remembered them to be and the Ochre room still as gorgeous - comfortable sofa, flatscreen digital TV, more tea and coffee varieties than Whittards and a comfy bed...

This is a beautiful B&B. The house is charming, and has been wonderfully restored by the owners, with an eye for detail that is marvellous. The room we had, the Blue Room, was absolutely great, as good as any hotel room, better really because of the way the room was presented, with a lovely new king-size bed, two comfy armchairs,...

My wife and I stayed for two nights. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and with the widest range of teas we have ever seen in a room. Breakfast superb with all locally sourced produce, freshly baked bread (breadmaker) and lots of it. Owners very friendly and cant do enough for you.Lots of places locally for an evening meal but...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With parts of the building dating back to the 16th century, Old Plough House was for many years a busy ale house, serving the community of Field Dalling village. After being lovingly restored and refurbished, it's now a stylish bed & breakfast, serving the finest organic locals produce and with three luxury bedrooms all boasting en suite bathrooms, digital televisions and WiFi Internet access.Ideally situated in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside, we are only four miles from both the charming Georgian market town (and modern day shopping Mecca) of Holt, and also from the coastal hotspot which is Blakeney. Beyond this, the area's attractions range from the unspoilt coast, with its justly famous nature reserves and wildlife sanctuaries, through a wide selection of stately homes and museums, to an ever-increasing range of gastronomic delights. ... more   less
