Detailed Reviews
We stayed in Chez Maurice for a couple of days after our wedding. We wanted somewhere we could relax and this was a perfect choice. It's in a woodland location and felt very calm and relaxing, especially if you're in the hut tub with some bubbles in a glass as well as the tub . The huts (Maurice is a double hut) are furnished to a very high standard and the fridge was well stocked for breakfast. The window above the bed is amazing, going sleep looking at the stars and waking to blue skies and trees.
Location wise, it's walking distance to the North Norfolk Steam Railway and from there you can get to Sheringham (and further if you swap trains). Holt is a beautiful town and is probably in walking distance, although we drove as we were heading elsewhere afterwards.
I can't recommend this highly enough, and we will definitely be going back.

Stayed in the shepherds hut Chez Marguerite which was very clean & tidy. Made full use of the fire pit BBQ which had plenty of firewood for our use. The shower was very efficient and the toiletries smelt amazing! Karoline was very helpful when we originally booked and friendly on arrival. Shepherds hut was thoughtfully located under trees for some shelter and in lovely grounds with a woodland walk and it was not far to walk to the car. The chocolate brownies were absolutely delicious. The fridge was well stocked with breakfast supplies. We had a very relaxing stay, no TV, sat outside chilling after we had cooked our food on the BBQ /fire pit. We definitely recommend a stay here.

Three nights away from stressful jobs and we couldn't have picked a better antidote. Peaceful, tranquil, relaxing - all apply. Wonderfully quaint and quirky but full of the top quality essentials to have a perfect break. We hadn't explored this part of the country before and loved the contrast of countryside and beach all in the same walk. Lovely local pubs serving good food was the icing on the cake. Would definitely come back to North Norfolk and the shepherds hut.

We stayed in Chez Marguerite which was delightful. Although a cold couple of days, the stove made things very toasty and we found everything we needed. Karoline answered any queries both promptly and in a very friendly manner.

Hi! Holt is an easy 15-20 minute walk along pavements from the B&B!
Unfortunately, as there are a number of cats residing at Birkfield House, dogs are not allowed.
