This used to be the Melrose and is under new management. Lucy and John Olson are very friendly people. This is a lovely little B#B. Very close in and near the station. the beds are good, breakfast very good. the rooms are a nice size for England, shower was weak. The new owners have fixed the place up beautifully.

Despite John and Lucy only having taken over Holway House (formerly The Melrose), a short while ago, we arrived to a 5 star welcome. Our room on the first floor was spotless. Bed linen and towels, clean and fresh. Our ensuite was small but functional with the hot water at a good temperature. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are also...

Booked well in advance and paid in full. I gave an arrival time but due to a clear run all the way I arrived a little early. I got a harsh, frosty welcome from Suzanne and was ready for leaving before I had even booked in. However, after meeting John who I found very pleasant and he gave me a...

Good points: friendly, helpful owners, with lovely cat; good breakfast (kippers if desired); conveniently situated to walk into Sheringham and/or visit the steam railway. Bad points: room cramped but adequate if you are not planning to spend too much time in it; some noise from the road (if at the front) and, on one night, a drunken female neighbour decided...

3 of us travelling together received a friendly welcome upon arrival. This B&B is unusual in having a number of single rooms at a sensible price. This was ideal for us as a group of 3 men - much nicer than sharing rooms, and each with our own en-suite. The single room I had was clean and comfortable and well...

I can only comment on room 2. Spacious. Bland, very noisy, mould in the shower, cracked tiles in the cupboard that calls itself an en suite, very cheap breakfast with waterery beans, one of each small sausage bacon egg, 3 slices tomato, few mushrooms and a slice of toast. Limited parking... But on the plus..5 mins from the poppyline., for...
