As ever, we were not disappointed, the teams at Briarfields and The Lodge work like a well oiled machine, they are polite, happy and overall just very easy going people which in turn makes us relax. Accommodating us and the dogs without any of us getting stressed, we felt more than welcome.
The restaurant menu was varied, we mostly ate fish but I enjoyed the Lamb rump Saturday eve and we also had a couple of light vegetarian salads for lunch on Saturday. Breakfast at these two sister hotels is always the best.
The dog friendly rooms off the courtyard allow access direct from the parked car with a small paved area which works really well for wiping feet to keep the room clean. This access is well considered and thoughtful, from a dog owners perspective, the mown dog walk around the lovely grass area is a wonderful addition which ticks so many more boxes and any other hotel we have ever been to.
We didn't have to use the car once it was parked and enjoyed a circular 5 mile walk from the door with only very short parts on lead for the dogs.

We've visited before for drinks & meals & after enjoying good past experiences decided to stay at some future point. Briarfields & its sister hotel The Lodge had a 2 night offer this month if booked in time so we took advantage of that & were very pleased to choose Briarfields. Check in was fast & easy & the room, although outside, was very close to the entrance. The room was very modern, immaculate & spacious with a luxury bathroom-great shower. A very minor negative is that there was no water in the room. Briarfields is a large hotel, good parking, with a huge restaurant & outdoor decking area & large grass area for dogs\kids to play. Inside there are several seating areas with log burners which were lit even at 8 a.m.!
The quality of the food at breakfast stands out from some other places in that everything is fresh, very tasty & cooked to order, no hot self service buffet. Croissants are baked fresh too but are in high demand! For breakfast 1 day we were shown to a table by the window with sea views, you could see the waves breaking in the distance & the large sandy beach of Brancaster is visible too in parts & only about 1 mile away. Both nights evening meals were great with a good choice menu & also a good wine list. Everything is cooked to order so service isn't rushed as in some establishments. Lovely crusty bread which must be home made? The fish & chips was so good on Friday night that (perhaps being unadventurous yes) I had it again on Saturday night-wonderful, with large hand cut chips.
All staff were polite & friendly & attentive at all times with high levels of service.
My wife & I really enjoyed our stay & competition is high along this stretch of Norfolk coastline but Briarfields is up there with the rest.
Overall a highly relaxing, enjoyable visit & can't recommend it highly enough & would definitely stay again.

We have just spent 2 days at Briarfields. From the time we arrived until our departure we felt safe from Coronavirus. They have so many safety measures in place. One way system, wide spacing of tables in the dining room. Face masks unless eating. There was even 2 boxes for clean pens and used pens. Option to whether you want the staff in your room during your stay.
As I am a Cancer sufferer this was very important to me to be able to have a little break.
We stayed in Room 2 which was very nice and the en-suite had a waterfall shower and all the toiletries were of a good quality . There was a parking slot for each of the rooms on the ground floor just outside the French doors.
We had afternoon tea on the first day which was delicious served on a 3 tier cake stand. Lovely variety.
Dinner was included on the 1st night and we were able to order food up to £30 per person. My choice was red mullet in a Thai broth followed be Hake and squid. My husband had baked Brie followed by salmon pave. They were all delicious and well presented. We were so full we didn’t order dessert. Such a shame as they all looked good.
There was a wide variety of choice for breakfast. Full English, smoked haddock and poached eggs and lots more
I would definitely recommend the Hotel. The staff were all friendly and professional.

We decided to go up to the coast to the bird reserve which is now open and popped into Briarfields for posh tea. We felt very welcome and followed the one way system sanitising our hands and sitting at a table a long way from any other guests. Our tea was delicious! A member of staff had rung earlier in the day to check whether we were both gluten free as the chef wanted to know! We loved every minute of our treat and will go again.
It is important to support wonderful places like Briarfields.

From the warm welcome on check-in to departure, we couldn’t fault this hotel.
The relaxing sound of the fountain in the pond greeted us as we unlocked room 2 (perfect for those who find steps and stairs a challenge)
Our car was parked in our dedicated space, in front of the french doors which opened to the side of a bistro set, exclusively for your use.
Our room was nicely decorated, with comfortable beds. The bathroom was a good size with an amazing shower. A selection of local, pure ingredients toiletries were there for our use.
Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection to suit all.
Location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the North Norfolk coastline.
The staff were were professional and very friendly.
For a relaxing break, Sunday lunch or evening meal this venue will not disappoint.

After weeks of ‘ lockdown. ‘ the option to return to this super destination was only too welcome !
Ahead of arrival we were sent a very clear guidance message telling all about ‘Covid ‘ preparations and sanitising etc , along with the need to book a time for both breakfast and dinner ,so that tables and distancing might be suitably organised .
All was readily apparent on arrival , the staff as friendly ,focussed and attentive as ever ,and food and wines everything one has come to expect here.
Five days passed very quickly ,and we came away feeling much was right about the world as purveyed by Briarfields.

Its the second time we've stayed here and we love it. Its got a lovely calm feeling, the rooms are very clean and relaxing. The food is lovely and not expensive. There are non touch sanatisers everywhere and they do a delicious social distancing breakfast. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful, I never felt like a was asking for too much. I felt like I was looked after and safe(covid). I definetly would recommend this hotel especially their courtyard rooms, which have a lovely view and a pond.

Had a really lovely weekend break at Briarfields. It was our first weekend away since lockdown and naturally we were apprehensive. I am pleased to say that Briarfields has nailed it, everywhere was spotless, sanitiser was placed around the hotel and social distancing was done in a way made you feel safe.

Rooms are fabulous especially 19 with its lovely balcony.

Thank you to Lisa for making us so welcome and looking after us and to all staff for their friendly professionalism.

We hope to be back very soon.

We have visited numerous times and this hotel never disappoints. The location is perfect, out in the countryside but 15 mins to the seaside town of Hunstanton and Old Hunstanton with the Craft Barns, cafe, pub and beach.
The rooms are immaculate, clean and fresh and spacious. We had rooms 12 and 15 in the courtyard. The outside space is so lovely, all the roses in bloom and well kept gardens.
The food is just second to none. Breakfast is help yourself to pastries, cereals and juices and then a wide range of choice of hot breakfast items plus loose leaf tea and delightful coffee.
We stayed on a bed, breakfast and evening meal rate and it certainly pays to do so if you intend eating in the restaurant. Included is starter, main, dessert and coffee. You only pay a few pounds extra for certain mains, including the steak and it is well worth it. The food is cooked to perfection.
The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help. Everyone you speak to can't do enough for you. It seems a very happy place to work and I'd love a job there if I lived closer!!!
Also, it is very dog friendly, special areas in the gomel to eat with your dog and designated dog friendly rooms. 🐶
All in all , in my opinion you just can't beat Briarfields. It ticks every box for me.
Can't wait to visit again soon!! 💞

Third visit to the Briarfields. Writing this on our last evening of a three nights stay at this lovely hotel.
All the staff are very attentive but not over intrusive and it would be hard to name any in particular, but a special mention must be made to Lisa, Rhiannon, the cleaning staff, and a young lad called Micky who checked us in, who all went out of our way to make our stay special. From our breakfast, lunch, and evening meals throughout our stay we couldn’t fault anything in any way.
We were impressed by their Covid rules, a good one way system in place throughout the hotel with adequate hand sanitiser stations throughout.
Highly recommended this hotel, was lovely to have a nice getaway during this difficult time.
Looking forward to coming back here soon. Thank you.
P.S their Sunday lunch is particularly scrumpy.
